It was the end of the universe.
That said, I am underwhelmed by Englishface.

Two universes! That was the requirement for the code to execute.
Also after spending almost two years as a faceless unknown monster, it's hard to step out of the shadows and live up to people's expectations. From the distance shot it looked like he had Cal's head, except green with fangs and pool ball eyes.
EDIT: I was bored and tried reading the MSPA forums a bit. Oh god, every other post I wanted to reply and correct people being idiots. Never again.

I expected something a bit more refined. He seems a bit like a green and monstrous version of Red Skull.

Also, "I am an excellent host." - Yeah. Yeah, you are.
Unknown2011-11-02 16:49:36
Lord English has been hyped up since the first intermission. Anything with that much hype surrounding it will disappoint you if you let yourself get caught up in it.
I was admittedly surprised that he isn't more of a refined gentleman, but I suppose no upstanding gent would be caught dead in that ugly fuckin' coat anyhow.
EDIT:
Hee hee. Host! I get it. ^_^

Discarding the obvious green of the coat, it seems perfectly fine to me. Any man would wear a coat like that if he had finery underneath that needed protecting.
Lehki2011-11-02 17:56:42
There's no reason he can't be just as refined despite his looks. We've only seen this and a small bit of dialogue, which was all just call backs to other stuff anyway.
GIRL. YOU THERE. GIRL. GIRL, QUIT ALL THIS SCURRYING AROUND. etc. etc.
He's still more of a plot device then a character at this point, so we'll see what Hussie does with him.
EDIT: I just re-watched it and noticed that his coat turns into the sarcophagus.

"Chicago overcoat" was a gangster slang term for coffin. Thus, "you gonna fit that guy for a Chicago overcoat?" would not intimate fine American tailoring, but instead the notion of foul murder. A Cairo overcoat, ergo, would be the Egyptian equivalent of a coffin - a sarcophagus.

OH GOD HE MEANT IT IN THE ALIENS WAY.
Jack2011-11-02 23:48:12
Don't you mean in the Fiduspawn way?
Tervic2011-11-03 00:52:06
Uh... yeah, that.

I suppose it's possible when you think about it that Sburb/Grub and Skaia were never more then anything but tools for the Birth of English. Thus far, all of our information regarding the two has inevitably come from one source, the now dead Doctor, so its not unreasonable to think that duplicity was likely.
Jack2011-11-06 17:11:05
Huh, I didn't realize this from watching the intermission, but according to Huss, English is the embodiment of Gamzee's mirthful messiahs. Not only did he release the Vast Honk at the end of the universe, he's (technically) two people. Plus that Cairo Overcoats goddamn gaudy enough to be juggalo attire.

Aurthour totally should've been Lord English, and I feel robbed that he wasn't.
Also, best LOFAM song award goes to this horrifying little ditty.

I've found one of those inexplicable pockets of terror that so often crop up on youtube. Specifically, the Homestuck cosplayers embarrassing the :censor: out of me for being a part of this fandom section.
I'm not going to link anything. If you really want to see this, I'm sure you can just search for Homestuck cosplay on youtube. Just know that you can never go back to how it was before. Before you knew.

Don't forget that Act 6 starts today, kids! Keep your eyes peeled for updates. Sweet, sweet updates.

Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff the movie? There aren't enough hells or yesses in the world to do justice to that.
(oh yeah also I guess the guardians are players in a new session now, derp derp, who didn't see that coming)

You'll always be Nanna to me, Jane. Also calling spoonkind for her specibus.
Staring... Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller?
(And not the guardians, the ancestors. While those are mostly overlapping, we have Nanna there, instead of Dad.)
Also, what's up with the Troll text on the exile's monitor at the end of the flash? Or, wait... she's not in the game yet, so that wouldn't be her exile, would it? The hand's skin tone looks like a troll, so... a viewing station on the troll's asteroid that they'll use to view the new players once they navigate their way to that universe's Incipisphere? ... /speculate

My first thought was one of the Trolls ancestors - but it can't be, since their universe was scrapped but not scratched, meaning no do-overs. My second thought was the Condesce, since we know she escaped - but it can't be that either, since the hand isn't large enough, and she should be on earth bein' the Batterwitch of Crocker I guess. My third thought (and the one I'm stickin' with for the time being) is that it's one of our trolls, acting as guides to the kids from the future. Discounting Aradia, there's four of them, after all; one for each kid.
