Completely unsurprised... the Lusternia meets would be much less fun without you tongue.gif

For giggles:

AQ = 40
FQ = 31
EQ = 22
SQ = 99

To be honest, I'm incredibly surprised at these results. However, I believe these tests were unfairly skewed for me, since I'm a scientist and am trained to think systematically. Heck, several of the questions on the SQ test were about aspects of my very field! In regards to the AQ & FQ tests, it's probably more due to low self-confidence and depression than anything else. The only result I have difficulty rationalizing is from the EQ test, since I view myself to be very sympathetic and sensitive to others. On kind of a humorous note, I remember when I got married, a coworker and mentor wrote in my congratulations card that I should keep in mind that "husbands are to be loved, not analyzed". Perhaps I'm only deluding myself? wink.gif

In general, I've always thought of psychology as a 'soft' science (admittedly out of snobbishness). However, I think quizzes like these are good tools for introspection, even if they're not perfect diagnostic tools.

Could someone tell me whether they share my experience of dancing and if it is part of the autistic spectrum or just my weirdness? I just don't understand it. I have tried it (only when extremely drunk) but I still don't understand it. I see no attraction in it. I am as far as I'm aware, not capable. Take the Lusternia meet in Jan, I ended up dancing (yep, I drank a lot) and I believe I even attempted to dance for a bit, but the problem with it is after a few minutes 'dancing', and despite the quantity of alchohol I STILL felt completely and utterly lost and confused by it, and because I didn't understand it I quite quickly became very annoyed and pissed off and skulked over to a corner to brood and sip my beer. I see people dancing and enjoying it and I have no concept why they do.

I do well with two kinds of dancing. Ecstatic drunken revelry, and anything I can actually learn the steps to, in my case that being English country dances and bransles, mostly (Italian dances are the devil).

While I don't have aspergers, I do have a wicked case of ADHD coupled with rage issues, so I do score mildly on those tests, but I love being social most of the time/partying and I reckon I can read people's emotions pretty well, most of the time I just don't care enough about said emotions..

I could be either Bi-polar or skizo, but on a mild basis. Honestly I've had entire conversations that could be heard but wasn't actually real.Dont' get me wrong I'm a crap loads better now, actually there's a place called Piffer treatment center. I'll have to dig up the website but instead of using drugs that must people go for they use supplements such as Nia-c and you get your own specific am-pm program, like I'm low in zinc so they give me zinc. http://www.hriptc.org/index.php

So, I decided to bump the thread because I wanted to know if anyone had any other good places to read about Asperger's. Mostly, since the more I read and/or think about it, the more it sounds like me.

Just after I posted the above, ran across another article on the same kid.
