The name Ayisdra calls to Ev's mind just one of many tragic stories of Glomdoring folk who started as true believers of their cause, only to be twisted and warped into cold individual who cares only for death and destruction. However, he doesn't think she's fallen nearly as far as others, and given certain situations, would still hold some small respect for her.

I laugh to myself every time someone posts referring to Ayisdra as female.

That out of the way, Ileein only knows Everiine as one of the few Trill willing to pitch in with the Trill racial clan that they had a while back. He does wonder why a Trill would live in Serenwilde of all places, but respects his dedication (and has a basic idea of someone who is dependable and not an idiot, which is something, at least).

Llesvelt loves Ileein dearly, he finds him to be the perfect Hallifaxian in all ways possible. He has always struck Llesvelt as being increadibly talented, intelligent and all around a great contributer to the Collective. Right after Cririk Adom he is probably the collectivist that Llesvelt respects the most, and he is quick to defend him should anyone question his intentions and skills.

When Llesvelt was younger he often compared himself to Ileein and always thought he himself was much lesser in many ways. He never did dislike Ileein for this, more like he began to dislike himself. In more recent times this neurosis is nonexistant.

Prav loves Llesvelt because he is willing to express what most other Hallifaxians feel but are incapable of saying. That is, Llesvelt does not tolerate lesser races or peoples. Prav thinks it's awesome that Llesvelt pulls no punches and does not mince words. Where others will say, "Do you think City X is capable of this?" Llesvelt will say, "Those small-brained idiot barbarians couldn't even read this proposal, let alone respond to it in any manner other than dumbstricken, slackjawed indifference."

Llesvelt also wrote Prav's favorite in-game book.

Arel loves Prav. He has such an enormous respect for him because he isn't afraid to push the envelope and is incredibly witty. He also thinks it is pretty cool that Prav can fight but is still an impressive scholar. Whenever Prav is involved in something, Arel knows we will have an entertaining time and possibly come away with a renewed sense of purpose. Prav is one of those rare people who Arel thinks of as a close and trusted friend.

Aeral and Arel went on aetherhunts together. It was a good time, though Arel admits he was shocked when Aeral came out of the Portal of Fate and did a double-take. Aeral likes him fairly well, he'll be missed what with the changes in alliances.

I remember Arel from a couple of other characters, as well.

Aeral I haven't met ic yet. However seraku always enjoyed the few conversations he's had with her. Though sadly I don't remember them as a player.

Eliron thinks Seraku is very race-oriented. From the conversations they have he thinks Seraku is perceptive, but most of the conversations they've had were centered around the dracnari (or Eliron's lack of dracnari at the moment), so he doesn't have a clear picture of him outside of that.

Sylandra considers Eliron one of her dearest friends. They often stole one another from politics for tea parties and witty discourse, and bonded over their mutual respect for Lord Lyreth and the arts. In fact, they first met as an Order task on Sylandra's part - Eliron needed information about Lord Lyreth, and He sent Sylandra to explain to Eliron why Glomdorians couldn't join the Order. That very business-like conversation led to a friendship that blossomed when she learned Eliron was her friend Maellio's brother. She considers Eliron a role model, someone she very much would like to be: hard-working, loyal to his home, devoted to his family, and completely in love with art.

A lot, however, changed during their friendship. Sylandra's family life and political life went into complete chaos a few years after their friendship formed, and Eliron was there for her to admit her vulnerability to. But as time went on, she needed him less for such things; she had begun to learn how to stand upon her own two feet. Once again, their conversations became based on pleasantries, mutual respect, and a rather playful rivalry and penchant for scheming. I'd say Eliron is one of the people who got the most close-up view of Sylandra growing up from an optimistic and individualistic Lyrethian girl to a reserved Collectivist leader. Sylandra withdrew a bit from Eliron when the new alliances were being formed, however. She knew Eliron was devoted to the Glomdoring first and foremost, and was steeling herself for when Eliron would have to choose it over her - just as she was choosing Hallifax over him. When she was cast out from Lord Lyreth's order, Eliron was one of the first to offer her a shoulder to lean on, but Sylandra refused it, saying she didn't want to talk about what happened.

The shift within the Trinity was a complete surprise to Eliron, and while he complimented Sylandra on her learning of deceit and trickery, he also warned her against the severity of her reasoning. "The individual makes sacrifices for the Collective," she told him. "Sometimes it helps to step back and realize the Collective is built of nothing but individuals, Governor," he responded. They still speak, but there's a coldness within their polite conversation that Sylandra notices and accepts - she can no longer trust him like she used to. Still, she considers him one of her most cherished companions, and is always a bit terrified that someday he won't speak to her at all.

Llesvelt thinks Sylandra is a great Governor and is sad to see her end her term. Though they were rarely in agreement he genuinely respected her for her skill if not her opinions. He felt as if the Collective was in safe hands, with only few missteps that he believed was his duty to correct. He liked Sylandra and her term as Governor because he thought his role was rather clear-cut, and that she did well aside from the situations where he had to intervene.

Aside from politics he also finds her to be generally quite likeable. Though at times she would make attempts at cruelty they never really stung all that much and he genuinely enjoyed her company, for discussions and tea. Welcoming her into the family was something he quickly accepted, and quickly warmed up even more to her, whether she noticed or not. He thinks her marrying Daraius is the best that could happen, both from a political and a personal angle.

Also, her art makes him jealous, but she must never know.

Llesvelt is an interesting example of a friend for Mael - he rather does enjoy talking with him, generally with no aim other than to just pass the time, and finds him intelligent and likable. At the same time, Mael believes Lles also has many of the worst qualities bred in Hallifax - close mindedness, bigotry, and needless hubris - all qualities that Mael hopes to ease in Lles over time, if he can.

Since Maellio did one on past Eliron, I'm taking a second shot at him. Eliron will always see Maellio as the elder brother. Maellio always had the patience for minor mischief and pestering, and he was one of the few people in Glomdoring accepting and even appreciative of pestering. Eliron also saw Maellio as always having an answer. Eliron didn't always agree with his answers, but he never doubted that if he needed to talk something through, Maellio would offer some form of insight. Maellio was a source of confusion in his constant urging for Eliron to look beyond a narrow ideology and beyond Glomdoring's political borders, but this actually meant Eliron felt he could rely on Maellio to keep Eliron from straying into the realms of excessive fanaticism.

Lyora loves her papa Eliron very much...except not as much as Druken Lyora has a somewhat dual personality in her approach to interacting with Eliron. Lyora views Eliron as the pushover father who is easier to pick on, have fun with, and manipulate. She also finds him more tolerating and not very intimidating. She will go to him first when she wants something or wants to get away with something. She likes to defy him and loves to cause problems for him by being two-faced. She also demands a lot of attention from Eliron and insists on being his (and Druken's) favourite daughter. Lyora finds Eliron annoyingly persistant and is bothered that he insists on calling her imp when she is clearly a sprite! (Especially since Odette has caught on to that habit.) Lyora sees her father as a hard-working leader and elder and respects him. Despite enjoying the trouble she causes him, she doesn't like to see anyone else bother him and is still protective of him.

Eliron seems to be a rather smart and approachable fellow and so far has been surprisingly willing to cooperate when it comes to the free sharing of assorted scholarly data. Also, he is pretty much the only inhabitant from Glom that I've interchanged words with since who knows when.

Iorden is quite the quiet fella, goes about his business without drawing much attention to himself most of the time. This is deceptive as once you get him talking he actually has lots of opinions and knowledge to share (bastard nailed my BF quizes) and seems to have near endless time and patience at his hands to do as he pleases. He's a joy to have tea with and he represents that typical old Mag d'Muranish aristocracy, despite his time with the Oubliettes, or rather that emphasises it.

Mael's only met Nariah maybe twice at most, all around the time of the Bloodfaire (to which she invited Mael and Orventa, or the reverse of that likely). She gave off an air of nobility and intellectualism that quite impressed Mael and also seemed quite completely in control of the situation, even when it wasn't readily apparent that she really was.
