I totally did. Best Single's Awareness Day evah.

I sat around on Lusternia while finishing my Mafia game, beating Beyond Good & Evil, singing along to Katy Perry while plotting how to be staggeringly romantic, suave and endearing to people. And I guess almost finishing my FAFSA.

Not all at the same time, mind you.

If I had anything to complain about it's that the chicken we had for dinner had obnoxiously thick and not-tasty skin, or that we don't have much money left to actually pig out on candy.

My best friend outside of my marriage got a present days beforehand (nb. present from me) - my husband got a new monitor as a no-particular-reason gift. I got a gift card for my bookstore. Boring to some, but far more appropriate than dying plants and plush toys in a colour I'd murder. >.>

On the other hand, before I got the old ball-and-chain, I had one or two dozen Singles Awareness Days, and I was pretty content with them.

And if it helps any, I spent the day doing a bunch of tests (which I aced) and then working - on my day off.

What is this... holiday you speak of?

I was a lame kid and attempted to sway the girl I want. Either the girl is too scared to, and uninterested, or she doesn't realize. So then I went away and ranted about her, ranted about Valentine's day, and ranted about commercialization os such. I give up, because I value the friendship far more than any potential relationship. Sometimes, it's just good to have friends! The holiday is over, and half off chocolate day is falling on the sweet sweet gift from god called a snow day. >.> Today is the best day ever... if only I dragged myself down to the store to buy some.
