After the Yellow Turban Rebellion was put down, the strength of the Han Court continued to crumble. The elder Han Emperor passed on, leaving a child to ascend to the Imperial Throne. In the wake of this vacuum of power, the Court fell victim to the predations of the Ten Regular Attendants, a faction of eunuchs with such influence over the Emperor that all who opposed them met a swift end, including Han Grand General He Jin.

However, their reign would be short-lived as an even greater threat arose to destroy the eunuchs and supplant his own regime in power.

Dong Zhuo, a prefect from the western empire and a general who garnered influence during the rebellion took this chance to make his powergrab by gathering many of the most talented officers of the age to him and establishing his own puppet emperor upon the throne. Dark times fell upon the Han as Dong Zhuo used his newfound power to appoint himself Prime Minister and committed vile atrocities to satiate his aspirations of grandeur.

Eventually, the regional warlords rose up and formed a coalition to defeat the tyrant Dong Zhuo and wrest the Han Court from his iron grasp.

-----------------

As the armies gather to oppose Dong Zhuo, it becomes apparent that one general is markedly absent. It is soon learned that Llandros had fallen some years ago in a duel with a fearsome opponent. It is whispered that the poor fool never had a chance against his opponent, for it was none other than the famous Lu Bu that had struck down the wayward general...

QUOTE
Llandros was Zhuge Liang - The Sleeping Dragon

You are Zhuge Liang, the greatest mind of your time. It was your devices that split the whole of China into Three Kingdoms and Heaven willing, it will be your devices that reunite it under the banner of the Shu-Han. However, you face perilous opposition from your contemporaries, Sima Yi of Wei and Zhou Yu of Wu.

Master Strategium - At any time during the game, you may send me a PM detailing any action you may wish to see happen in the game, barring the resurrection of slain generals. If you have doubts as to the suitability of an action, ask anyway. If it is impossible, it will be denied outright and not count towards your uses. Success percentage is dependent upon the scope of the intended effect and how often you have used your ability recently. You may use this ability up to three times during the game... but after the third time, you will die the following sunset.

You win when the Kingdom of Shu holds a majority over the combined forces of Wu and Wei and there are no threats to the sanctity of the Han.

It is 191 AD and with 19 armies on the field, it will take 10 to overwhelm an opposing general!

That's an interesting power, to say the least. Could have been powerful, depending on what Tekora felt like at the time, I guess.

So we can assume that Zhang Fei and Liu Bei know who each other are, due to being in a mason group with Guan Yu (Bali).

Also, shouldn't it be 19 alive, 10 to lynch?
Arix2011-02-23 06:09:26
ooookay, so we're trying to stop the same group of mafia, right?
Tekora2011-02-23 06:09:51
Rika's correct. Post has been fixed.
Shamarah2011-02-23 06:14:10
Huh, I'm surprised we didn't see a mason claim from either of Bali's partners.

Well, the thing is even if they are "town", claiming would mean 2/3 of of the "town" would still want them dead.
Shamarah2011-02-23 06:19:41
Oh, right, that's true.
Unknown2011-02-23 06:19:59
Dunno, maybe they rathered us not know a whole bunch of Shu people.

I guess we know the Lu Bu is probably an SK. Possibly town vig.

Dong Zhuo is who we're looking for now.

As for the lack of mason claims, I guess they decided their anonymity this early in the game is more important.

I believe so. Although he's removed soon enough in the novel, Dong Zhuo's appears to be the Big Bad in various computer games.

It does not seem to be going very well for Shu. Perhaps it is just rotten luck, though.

Maybe there are mason groups in the other factions as well?

Not going to say anything about your favourite general?

Possibly. Although I'd say the power to talk to one another is secondary to knowing each other's existence. Like how Llandros knew about his "fellow" strategists.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Are you implying you don't think the mafia got a chance to use a kill power last night, assuming Lu Bu isn't in Dong Zhuo's faction?

Oh, I didn't realise Lu Bu served under Dong Zhuo at one time. I thought he was just one of those Lone wolf types (not part of Wu, Shu or Wei). Okay, so it's quite possible that he's part of the Dong Zhuo scum group.
Llesvelt2011-02-23 06:54:54
According to the history as far as I remember it, Lu Bu is the adopted son of Dong Zhou and his loyalty is the main reason that Dong Zhou is even able to keep power for as long as he is.

I mean, the man is fat and incompetent. Also, rebel scum.

Kill it with swords and hammers and other almost comically overdimensional weapons, china style.

Didn't I even post that he was one of the main generals from the game?
Razenth2011-02-23 06:58:23
I doubt Lu Bu is a permanent member of Dong Zhuo's faction, since apparently each night is a major historical event and his historical propensity for betrayal. It was Lu Bu after all, who eventually slew his foster father, Dong Zhou.
