I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Are you implying you don't think the mafia got a chance to use a kill power last night, assuming Lu Bu isn't in Dong Zhuo's faction?
Lu Bu's possible roles were discussed briefly before, although we didn't know if he was one of the generals then.
If he is a part of Dong Zhuo's faction, I'd be willing to bet Lu Bu's not entirely trusted.

Historically, he was a genius fighter. Swords, those funny Chinese hammers, bow and arrow, halberd, spear... but he had a weakness to wine and women and a lust for power. He fought the Three Brothers of Shu-Han, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, to a standstill.
However... his first adoptive father was Ding Yuan, from whom Dong Zhou lured him away with Red Hare and lots of treasure. And for good measure Lu Bu killed Ding Yuan. Then he became Dong Zhou's adopted son, whom as I mentioned earlier, he also killed. He also took service under Liu Bei for a time, and predictably, betrayed him too. Eventually, he was captured by Cao Cao after a long siege, who was about to accept him into HIS service... until Liu Bei, an advisor to Cao Cao at the time, reminded Cao Cao of Lu Bu's character. Cao Cao then executed him.

Gah, lost in my historical reverie, I forgot to mention that I think he probably is unbeatable in a duel, like how Guan Yu is. But even more awesometastic since he could beat Guan Yu.

Not much point discussing whether or not Lu Bu is part of Dong Zhuo's faction in my opinion. He's definitely not of the three kingdoms.

I think it's worth considering, at least to figure out how many night kills to expect.

I don't know what to make of "your contemporaries, Sima Yi of Wei and Zhou Yu of Wu". Does that mean that Zhou Yu and Sima Yi have the same powers as Zhuge Liang or did they just come from the same generation?
Razenth2011-02-23 07:45:55
Uh, obviously the second Dy. Didn't they teach you word roots in high school?

They were basically the main/most prominent strategists of each kingdom, IIRC. Well, it means they're in the game, we can't really infer much else besides that they might have really tricky powers too.

Yeah, this was what I was getting at.

It is not looking terribly good for Shu right now.
Mirami2011-02-23 17:16:40
That's not one of the Mason guys (if what Rika said is true) for Shu, so I'm curious as to whether or not Shu is the primary 'Town' faction, or if it's even between all three kingdoms. (The fact that two Shu folks have been hit so far suggests to me that they might simply be more numerous than the other kingdoms).

From what I understand, the three kingdoms are all town, but in order to win must vanquish not only the scum but also the other two kingdoms.

How exactly does it suggest that it might be more numerous than the other kingdoms? I mean, for all we know it could just have been a coincidence.

Or, more simply, that when all threats to the Han are eliminated, whoever is largest among Wei, Wu, and Shu wins.

Hrm, true. That would be a lot simpler, I suppose.
Shamarah2011-02-23 20:39:24
Here's a thought. Let's arbitrarily assume that the town is broken up 6/6/6/4 (6 in each kingdom, 4 various anti-Han). Wouldn't lynching completely at random bring a majority of the players closer to their victory condition? What does this imply about our optimal strategy?
Razenth2011-02-23 20:57:58
That we should do everything in our power to kill people as quickly as possible.

That sounds a little frightening. It's going to get kind of hard to find out who is the big bad murderer when everyone is trying to kill everyone!
