I think the point was waiting to see if any information which might reveal something would come forth.

I'm pretty sure that isn't happening.
Dynami2011-03-03 02:09:05
Double night kill! Dun da dun!

At least we have a target that wants to be lynched...

ORDER ARMY TO ATTACK DIAMONDAIS
Ushaara2011-03-03 02:50:12
By my count this brings us to seven.

ORDER ARMY TO ATTACK DIAMONDAIS
Ushaara2011-03-03 02:54:57
Still a few people who haven't even checked in this day too for some reason. Might be best if everyone has a chance to comment before nailing the lynch rather than rushing into another Night?
Razenth2011-03-03 04:00:32
I wonder if to resolve a duel Tekora loads up a game of RtK on his PS2 or PC, picks the two generals who the combatants represent, and places them on a duel and writes down what happens.
Tekora2011-03-03 05:40:36
No, nothing that elaborate. Now, the resolution...

----------------------------

Emboldened, the fearless Razenth rides forth to issue a challenge to Ssaliss, who stands at the head of his army, regarding Razenth with disdain as the younger warrior hurls epithets and insults his way. Finally, Ssaliss grows tired of Razenth's insolence and rides forward, as if to answer his challenge. Delighted, Razenth rides forward at full speed, but Ssaliss stops short, turning his steed sideways and in one smooth, slick motion, draws his longbow from his saddle, nocks an arrow and draws back, firing it straight and true and embedding it squarely in the middle of Razenth's forehead. The stricken general rides for only a few feet more before falling from his horse in the middle of the battlefield, dead.

QUOTE
Razenth was Xiahou Dun - The One-Eyed Warrior!

You are Xiahou Dun, cousin of Cao Cao and Cavalry General of Wei. You lost your eye in battle from an arrow strike, but instead of fleeing the field, you pried the arrow from your socket, taking the eye with it. You then removed the eye from the arrow and cried out "Blood of my Mother, Essence of my Father, I cannot throw this away!" Then you ate it. Then you chased down and killed the schmuck that shot the arrow at you. Hardcore, dude.

Cleave - During the day, if you challenge another to a duel, you may add 'PREPARE YOURSELF!' to the bottom of your formal declaration. If the duel is accepted and you are victorious, the defeated general will die with certainty. You may do this twice during the game.

You win when the Kingdom of Wei holds a majority over the combined forces of Wu and Shu and there are no threats to the sanctity of the Han.

Modnote: This does not count as today's duel.
Razenth2011-03-03 05:41:36
For Wei! *dies*

Diamondais is under attack by: Llesvelt, Rika, Shamarah, Arix, Xikue, Dynami, and Ushaara. (7)

With 15 armies on the battlefield, it will require 8 to overwhelm an opposing general!
Ushaara2011-03-03 05:54:48
I'm going to WITHDRAW FORCES FROM DIAMONDAIS for now. Will put it back on later if needed, but as I said before, would like the chance for the quieter people to post before heading into another Night.

Also, that didn't count as a duel? Whut?
Unknown2011-03-03 08:09:50
Not sure why Xikue didn't die when Razenth defeated her in the duel when he used 'prepare yourself' too. I didn't see the duel results before Arix intervened but I assume she didn't die.
Rika2011-03-03 08:28:20
Yeah, she didn't die.
Ssaliss2011-03-03 11:36:01
Hmm. Interesting, interesting... Let's follow up with:

Arix! Face me on the field of battle in an honorable duel, or be exposed as the worm you are!
Ileein2011-03-03 11:52:40
Haven't we already had a duel today? unsure.gif
Ssaliss2011-03-03 11:56:19
Apparently that one didn't count.

Yeah, she didn't die.

Mrn. Everyone has an ability. I'm guessing Razenth's Cleave ability counts as a day-kill. I'm able to avoid those, although I don't know if that protected me against normal duel resolutions (with the 10% chance of dying). Sure didn't save my vote or give me a winning streak, since Arix had to jump in.
It's possible other people's powers intervened, but I'm skeptical that they'd work in the day.
Ileein2011-03-03 12:34:10
Cleave appears to make that 10% chance to kill your opponent when you beat them a 100% chance, though I guess it can also be blocked by powers or whatnot? Like ones Xikue might have?
Llesvelt2011-03-03 12:39:46
Damn it, another Wei general down.

Tis' going to be hillarious if Wu come out the victor, I mean the Shu and Wei got compassion and ruthless ambition as their respective shticks (owing to the personality of their leaders) and the main rivalry as such seems to be between these two faction, Wu just seems like the random third kingdom which was created because the Sun family felt like ruling a piece of China.

Mind, I have not actually played the games, I am just going from what I have read, so I could be very wrong, of course.
Tekora2011-03-03 18:07:15
As the day continues on, the fighting comes to a halt as the now-familiar Imperial Procession makes it way onto the battlefield. They search for a few moments before approaching Rika, the messenger unfurling a scroll and declaring that by order of Prime Minister Dong Zhuo and with the authority of His Divine Majesty the Emperor Xian, Rika is hereby ordered to return to her post of duty, immediately.

Rika is enraged at the order, but cannot risk ignoring the Imperial Decree and being labeled as a traitor to the Han. Thus, she leads her army away from the battlefield and begins the long journey back to her territory... but it is a journey she does not complete, for when passing through a narrow mountain pass, she is ambushed by soldiers flying the banner of Dong Zhuo and declaring this as retribution for the Coalition attack upon Luoyang.

Rika has no place to flee as a flight of arrows descends upon her. It appears as if she is finished, when suddenly, Ushaara appears, pulling Rika away from the danger and helping to break out from the ambush to safety... but not without receiving an arrow in the back or three. Stricken, Ushaara demands that Rika flee the area immediately while he holds off their attackers. Rika is not wont to argue, but solumnly honors Ushaara's sacrifice as she mounts a nearby horse and makes haste back to the battlefield while Ushaara turns back to face his fate with dignity, just as another volley of arrows approaches...

QUOTE
Ushaara was Dian Wei - The Approaching Evil!

You are Dian Wei, Cao Cao's loyal bodyguard, who gave his life at Wan Castle so that Cao Cao may escape Zhang Xiu's ambush. You held off the enemy warriors while your Lord made his escape, and it is said that even after you fell in battle, the enemy would dare not pass through the gate where your body lie, for fear of invoking the wrath of your ghost.

Bodyguard - During the night, you may choose an individual to guard by PMing 'GUARD '. That night, they will be defended from any and all hostile actions. You may use this ability 3 times during the game.

You win when the Kingdom of Wei holds a majority over the combined forces of Wu and Shu and there are no threats to the sanctity of the Han.

So... Rika is most likely Wei? Or Ushaara had some other reason to protect Rika. Hrm. Who would be likely to target Rika though?
Tekora2011-03-03 18:28:49
Modnote: As much as I dislike doing this so far into the game, it seems we need a replacement for Sylandra. If you're interested, PM me.
