So assuming the initial count of 6/6/6/4, we're now down to 5 Wu, 3 Wei, 3 Shu, and 3 anti-Han. We definitely know that Dong Zhuo is still around now with daykill still intact. Someone else has a nightkill (presumably Lu Bu), but since 2 people died last night, I guess we have a nightvig? Not sure if that sounds reasonable or not, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
The real point of this post was to point out that if replacements are possible, I wonder if Diamondais can be replaced instead of being lynched, since pro-Han numbers are dwindling quickly and us having no clue what is going on insofar as our alignments.

I was wondering the same actually, my request has been pretty well ignored.

The daykill returns! Too bad it didn't hit one of the anti-Han this time too.
Soo, Rika was targeted and Ushaara took the blow? Judging by his role, that probably makes Rika Cao Cao, doesn't it? It seems to fit, and I can't really think of any other reason he would die from her being attacked.

Not so sure it inherently means Rika is Cao Cao, really. His role was that of a generic bodyguard; it didn't state that he'd die protecting Cao Cao. I think it's more or less certain that Rika is a Wei though, and quite possible she is Cao Cao (could be that Ushaara and Rika knew about eachother, which would mean he'd most likely protect her).

Except that his bodyguard power says nothing about dying if successful, and it only protects them that night. Which is why I figured she must be Cao Cao then, since it says he gave his life to protect Cao Cao in his role.

Hmm. I'll definitely concede the first point (I kinda assumed that the bodyguard would die if the person protected was targetted by an instakill), but it's possible that even though he targetted them during the night, it could've carried over for the day. Dunno. Either way, no real point in arguing it either; it's fairly certain Rika is Wei (I see no other reason for Ushaara to target her), and it's quite possible (although not certain) that she is Cao Cao. Right now we should focus on finding Dong Zhou and Lu Bu, instead of trying to figure out exactly which of the Wei Rika is.

Yes, it was just an observation, not really intended to be a conversation point!

ahoy hoy. I had jury duty today, but I'm here now
Rika2011-03-04 00:45:23
...wot? Ushaara's power looks to be a night power and nothing says that it'd get him killed if he protected a target successfully. No idea what happened there.
Going to keep my vote on Diamondais because she wants out.

oh, some scummy guy challenged me to a duel, I'll go read the stuff for it and get back to you
Arix2011-03-04 01:32:30
Ok, so ummmm
I accept, die rebel scum, yada yada

Ssaliss2011-03-04 01:39:50
Okay, so now that the duel is happening, here are my thoughts.
First: Arix didn't protect Casilu, yet he protected Xikue. This could very well be a fluke, of course.
Second: When I asked about it, Xikue went very defensive in Arix place. This leads me to believe that the two know eachother. If they know eachother, it also explains why Arix defended Xikue and not Casilu.
Third: His power to stop the bad effects of a duel strikes me as very bodyguard'ish. This would fit very well with Lu Bu.
Fourth: Xikue is apparently immune to daykills, something which I believe is generally ascribed to scummyness.
That is what lead me to challenge Arix. If he is defeated, then he is certainly not Lu Bu, and by extension, I doubt Xikue is scum either (even though their bond isn't certain). If, however, he wins, I'll be even more suspicious of the two of them (and yes, I am aware that the fact that him beating me wouldn't prove that he is Lu Bu). With that said... I'll just wait until Tekora comes around to resolve the duel.

I only have so manyof those duel protection deals. I usually try to avoid using powers on day 1. I threw one out on day two because that's usually when things start to get going and i wanted as many people to be able to vote as possible. Also, by that point the game was starting to confuse me and I was starting to wander into 'well it' mode

Eh. I just commented that Arix saved my vote, since trying to maintain my ability to vote was what got me all riled up against Razenth in the first place.
I can't say we're definitely in different kingdoms, since I honestly don't know that.
Tekora2011-03-04 06:34:31
After striking down Razenth, Ssaliss rides into the middle of the battlefield and turns his steed towards Arix's army, berating and decrying him as a rebel and boasting of his ability to strike him down just as easily as he did Razenth. Arix, undeterred, accepts Ssaliss' challenge without a word and simply rides forth, his spear raised high as Ssaliss spurs his own horse forward to meet him...
The two generals trade blows for a total of well over 100 passes, without either man gaining the advantage. Ssaliss attempts to fire an arrow at Arix in between passes, but it is expertly deflected as they ride forth again, clashing for another 50 passes more. Finally, Ssaliss again goes for his bow, but Arix is ready for him, turning sharply and managing to deal a considerable blow to Ssaliss' back, but not managing to pierce his armor as it causes the general to slump forward in his saddle as he withdraws to his own lines, leaving Arix triumphant...
Arix's vote counts double for the rest of the day.
Ssaliss has lost the ability to vote for the rest of the day.

Soo, Arix just beat Ssaliss, the guy whose dueling ability is only less than Lu Bu's, at a duel... There might be other factors in play here, but I can't say this is looking very nice for him right now.

Battlefield Status
Diamondais is under attack by: Llesvelt, Rika, Shamarah, Arix, Xikue, Dynami (7)
With 14 armies on the battlefield, it will require 8 to overwhelm an opposing general!
Modnote: I will not be replacing Diamondais, as I've already not had much interest in Sylandra's open spot already and I doubt the ability to fill two empty spots at this point. Sorry, Dia.

Considering that none of you know who Ssaliss' character is or how the duel r esults are worked out, you have really have no concrete evidence to support the theory that my win was anything more than random chance

Oh, and just to get ahead of events slightly, I'm apparently "an elderly general whom has spent longer on the battlefield than most of your contemporaries have even lived", which I take as having a better chance than average to beat my opponent (although I don't have a specific ability to auto-win duels). In the RTK-games, I've got one of the highest WAR-scores (although not as high as Lu Bu) which is used in duels, meaning that if Razenth does beat me, either he's very lucky or very good, or the duels here aren't connected to the duels in the games.
QUOTE (Razenth @ Mar 2 2011, 05:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
You ARE Huang Zhong, one of the Five Tiger Generals of Shu. A quick check of Gamefaqs indicates that Huang Zhou, depicted in popular culture as an elderly but spirited fighter, has a ridiculous 90+ war score in the most RtK games, using Lu Bu as 100 as the top measure.
QUOTE (Ssaliss @ Mar 2 2011, 05:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well, at this point, it doesn't really matter much if people know who I am. Shu's not likely to win anyway, since we've lost so many people already.

oh right, he roleclaimed. Still, back up your claims
