Hmm. The Wiki says Meng Huo swore loyalty to Shu after being captured and freed seven times, which makes your story less likely. In addition, if you didn't want to revolt again against the Han, what are you doing in the middle of the battlefield? It just makes no sense, if you ask me.

Meng Huo uses elephants? Is this a game reference?

Looking in the game, all it says about Meng Huo is "King of the southern barbarians. Led a rebellion against Shu following the death of Liu Bei. Resisted Zhuge Liang's southern campaign, during which he was caught and released seven times. Finally submitted after his seventh release." which says nothing about elephants. Nor does it say anything about elephants in the wiki.

I still need to be clear on one point in particular that's bothering me: who exactly is the nightkiller? Dong Zhuo's daykill ability leads me to believe that that is his only way to kill- after all, since there isn't one big scum group, giving just the one dude the ability to day and night kill while the other non-kingdom-members just run around being completely harmless seems a little...off. Especially since that would effectively mean there were two scum in the whole game and one of them killed the other one on the first day, leaving us with just one anti-Han dude. Which I don't buy.
Ssaliss2011-03-08 22:55:43
Yeah, that's been bothering me a bit too. Lu Bu is one, sure, but some nights there's been two kills.

It does sound like there's one survivor too many.

Regarding the other night-kill, maybe one of the kingdoms has a vigilante. Best not to out him or her in if that's the case. On the other hand, there's still one non-Han left based on the 6/6/6/4 make up.

Eh. If you all can come to a consensus on who to remove during the night in addition to lynching today, I'll follow through. People who can't vote can at least contribute to that.
Ileein2011-03-08 23:07:59
It seems likely that one of our two "survivors" is lying, and if we have no way of telling without killing one, lynching may be the only way.
Ssaliss2011-03-08 23:29:41
Regarding the missing non-Han in the 6/6/6/4 setup, I've ascribed that to Phoebus, since she was a wildcard. With her claiming, we've now got a 6/6/7/3 setup.

Yeah, I was a little confused by the elephants thing too. I can use it tonight if you want me to verify it, though.

Also, Xikue's role isn't really a survivor. A survivor needs to survive to the endgame, she just needs to kill a certain person before dying.

Also also, it's quite possible that someone from one of the kingdoms has a vigilante ability.

Sooo, you are the nightkiller? I'm still really not buying the whole, "hey I'm the one who has been killing all of you, and I don't win with you, but I'm on your side. Really." :/

I wish I only had one win-condition, but surviving is required too.

Eh. Which kingdom is Solanis from, by process of elimination? Does everything add up to 6/6/7/3?

What are your other win conditions, then?

You guys don't even have one side I can be on. Didn't you just switch yourself? =p

Basically, I've been targeting lurkers.
Night One: Llandros - was selected pretty randomly; thought they were trying to maintain a post count in the middle of the pack
Night Two: Diamondais - even though she requested it during the day, Silferras took the hit
Night Three: Sylandra - the other night-killer targetted her too
Arix2011-03-09 01:09:52
wait, so Xikue is a nightvig?
Rika2011-03-09 01:11:38
Have you guys never played DW? Meng Huo's army has elephants.
Rika2011-03-09 01:13:20
By the way, I'm going to vote for Phoebus. It's not very fair for Wei to have no chance of getting a 7th member while apparently Wu/Shu could gain one, depending on who Phoebus chooses. As such, I think she is lying.

ORDER ARMY ATTACK PHOEBUS

Pretty much the nightkiller in the game, if you ignore the one night where there were two that we don't have an explanation for currently. And I'm supposed to believe that this is not a thing to be worried about here. Apparently also has win conditions that aren't "kill the bad guy" that aren't being shared. I am mega suspicious and really wish I could still vote today.

Okay. I'll buy that. (I had found a Youtube clip titled Meng Huo's elephants, but the stampede animals were some kind of buffalo.)

I've already said my other win-condition is to see Dong Zhuo dead.

I must have missed something, that's the only one I knew you had? Is it just "be alive and also that guy is dead"? I'd consider that just one condition for winning, so we're probably just interpreting that differently.

Oh, sorry. I guess it's computer programming logic bleeding into English for me. I see it as "be alive at end" && "Dong Zhuo is dead".
