Eh. Which kingdom is Solanis from, by process of elimination? Does everything add up to 6/6/7/3?
I've got the following:
Llesvelt - Wei
Arix - Shu
Solanis - Wu
Rika - Wei
Ileein - Wu
Xikue - Loner
Caerulo - Wu
Dynami - Wei
Ssaliss - Shu
Kalaneya - Wu
Phoebus - Special (currently Wu, but originally unaligned)
Shamarah - Loner
Casilu - Turban
Bali - Shu
Llandros - Shu
Romertien - Shu
Vendetta - Wei
Silferras - Wu
Razenth - Wei
Ushaara - Wei
Diamondais - Wu
Sylandra - Shu
That should be 6/6/6/4 (putting Phoebus among the four).

By the way, I'm going to vote for Phoebus. It's not very fair for Wei to have no chance of getting a 7th member while apparently Wu/Shu could gain one, depending on who Phoebus chooses. As such, I think she is lying.

To be fair, this is what Wiki says about her: "Taught martial arts from an early age, Sun Shang Xiang is a woman who wants to prove her worth in battle. Depending on the stage, she will either be seen fighting under Shu or Wu's banner. Although she is often one of the starting characters for Wu, her appearances as a computer opponent fluctuates with each title." As such, I don't see her having to choose between Shu and Wu as that outlandish.

Technically I could have just stayed unaligned the whole game if I wanted to (I think? Don't know how that would have worked out tbh, I'm pretty sure after a while I'd probably be forced to choose or auto-placed in one. I was kind of hoping to hold out for an unlikely Shu victory, which I still assert would have been awesome.) But that was clearly becoming a very unsafe option. It might not be "very fair", but a lot of things in this game so far have been kind of weird. Also, if I would have died before choosing, it would have been no loss for anyone, so there's that. I don't really know what else to say to you besides sorry you think I'm suspicious?

And for those keeping track at home...
Confirmed:
2: Arix - Zhao Yun - Shu - Guessed by Caerulo, confirmed by Arix (and I can confirm this as well).
19: Ssaliss - Huang Zhong - Shu (Yes, I put myself under confirmed. The bow and arrow should be proof enough, I hope?)
4: Rika - Cao Cao - Wei, judging by the death of Ushaara. Seventh to claim.
11: Dynami - Sima Yi - Wu - Fifth to claim.
20: Kalaneya - Sun Quan - Wu - Third to claim
5: Ileein - Zhou Yu - Wu - Fourth to claim
Self-proclaimed:
1: Llesvelt - Zhang Liao - Wei - First to claim, also used an unknown power.
21: Phoebus - Sun Shang Xiang - Wu - Second to claim
7: Caerulo - Lu Xun - Wu - Sixth to claim.
3: Solanis - Zhou Tai - Wu - Eighth to claim.
6: Xikue - Lu Bu - None (was defeated by Razenth though) - Ninth to claim.
22: Shamarah - Meng Huo - None - Tenth to claim.
I've taken the liberty of moving Rika, Dymani, Kalaneya and Ileein to "confirmed", given that they are all either leaders or strategists. If they were not truthful in their claims, the real one would have (hopefully) spoken up by now.

Oh, and I'm getting more and more certain that Shamarah is lying his teeth out. There'd be no reason at all for someone without an alignment or a mission other than "survive" to be here. As such...
SHAMARAH, PREPARE YOURSELF!
SHAMARAH, PREPARE YOURSELF!
Ssaliss2011-03-09 02:20:04
Oh, and in addition to that, as far as I could gather Meng Huo was either a rebel or a Shu in the books (and in the game, he was Shu). As such, I find it very hard to believe that he would be unaligned to start with.

Why do you find this surprising? Survivor is a fairly common third-party role in mafia.
Ssaliss2011-03-09 02:32:47
Because of the theme. In normal mafia games, sure; this, however, is a war. Why would someone who wants to survive be in the middle of a battlefield leading armies as a general?

Oh, that reminds me. Llesvelt, do you mind sharing, uh, what exactly that power did? If it would mess it up somehow, feel free to not say, but I've been pretty curious, haha. It was just sort of weird, then nothing happened.

I don't really know either. But hey, I can verify my power if you guys want me to, which ought to prove that I'm not a killer or recruiter role (since I can't think of any reason those roles would have access to a postblocking power).

I know, right?
Ssaliss2011-03-09 04:45:04
I'm getting rather curious about that message. I hope all such info will be shared when the game is over

Currently, assuming no one is lying, the most suspicious is Xikue. Firstly, Lu Bu is obviously one of the baddies. In this case, Xikue is very likely lying only about her win condition. I would make her priority number one. Also, Xikue refrained from posting her role until right towards the end.
Next would be Shamarah, as his is the next non-Han character. What keeps him from being first choice is the fact that in the novel, he ends up on Shu's side, but nonetheless, the Southern Tribes were a threat to the Hans, which was why Shu attacked them in the first place.
As for Phoebus, I've considered the fact that she might be lying about her role, but her claim is technically possible. Sun Shang Xiang is Sun Jian's daughter and Sun Quan's sister (Wu), but she is also Liu Bei's wife (Shu). In the novel, Sun Shang Xiang chooses Shu over Wu, so this makes her role and power claim plausible. However, I'm still not entirely convinced and a little suspicious about her, so after we get rid of Lu Bu and Meng Huo, and the game still hasn't ended, I'd suggest looking in her direction.

Being trampled by elephants sounds death-y to me though.

(My dad showed me a Three Kingdoms TV clip with her meeting Liu Bei. Gorgeous martial arts fighting in a red wedding dress.)
Eh. I explained my reasons for refraining.
Ssaliss2011-03-09 16:18:33
Obviously someone is lying, since no one claimed to be Dong Zhuo...

(Modnote: Sorry I didn't notice this earlier.)
As the battle continues to roil, Shamarah appears and declares proudly that he is Meng Huo, King of the Nanman Tribes. Ssaliss, seeing his exposure as a chance to strike, nocks an arrow in his bow and draws back, then fires. The shot hits home, embedding itself directly into Shamarah's chest and piercing his heart. Shamarah coughs up blood and slumps over in his saddle as he's forced to withdraw... but he is dead by the time his horse returns to his men.
Battlefield Status Update
Phoebus is under attack by: Rika (1)
With 9 effective armies on the field, it will take 5 to overwhelm an opposing general!

Shamarah was Meng Huo - The Chieftain of the Nanman
You are Meng Huo, King of the Southern Tribes of the Nanman. You're tired of the constant incursions of the northern kingdoms and now you've risen up in revolt!
Elephants - During the night, you may choose a general to assault with your Elephant Cavalry. They will be so overwhelmed that they will be unable to act in any way the following day, but they will return to action the night after.
You win if you survive until the end of the game.
