I have a sinking feeling that we got a new modem and that I'll have to browbeat tech support into making the modem not automatically firewall 
. This one even looks like it takes password that is not one I set and not one of the standard defaults, woo. I hate when I have to put my ISP tech support on speed dial and dodge their stupid standard troubleshooting.)
EDIT: I can't make monsters not spawn, and it's annoying me. I think it's ignoring properties entirely. >_<

I'm bad with software. I can add and remove hardware all day, but the actually making the software work... If you know how to port forward, it's really, really easy. If you look at the Minecraft wiki or google it you'll find a nice concise list of steps and it takes about five minutes.
