I actually considered that possibility, and within the framework of the game, it could make sense that Nessiah is town. After all, apparently in this game, Yggdra chose route C, or kill the OP angel girl and invade Heaven. Surprise surprise! Nessiah has the exact same modus operandi, and in fact, was hoping Yggdra would do exactly that. So though I imply he is scum because it would be the obvious answer, it did occur to me and I do give him the benefit of the doubt that he may be town.
The mod may have intended the speech tic to be more difficult to decipher, and thus not have expected someone to figure it out as quickly. This would support a scum interpretation. On the other hand, they may have relied on it being easy to decipher and done it as a kind of bait and switch; we THINK we're lynching a scum when surprise! You actually lynched a townie!
That's why I didn't cast my vote write away after associating kimi with Nessiah, because I wasn't too sure which camp he belonged to.

Arix2011-03-17 23:49:23
Arix's verbal tick is enforced but is not associated with his character, as far as Arix can tell
Arix2011-03-17 23:50:09
Also, Arix is disappointed that more mods don't do post requirements

If we should expect anyone to be scum with relative certainty, it should be Hector, which is the name Yggdra appears to use to address the shadowy figure (from the opening post) when her role is revealed to the game.
That is, assuming Hector is an actual role, and not just a narrative presence being used to mess with our heads. My gut is telling me to go with him not being in the actual game, since the illusion he casts doesn't appear to include him(?)

... Even as the being speaks, mist floods in from the air and wraps itself around Yggdra's army, hiding everyone behind a veil of illusion.
Er, nevermind. "Everyone" is pretty vague and doesn't particularly exclude him.

Research indicates that NESSIAH is the one who uses kimi towards everybody, because everybody is so much damn younger than he is, as as the fact that he's a fallen angel, and technically everything is below him.
Nessiah, need I remind anybody, was the penultimate boss of Yggdra Union and a seeder of chaos and destruction.

I think I'll go with Casilu on this one and VOTE RAZENTH, after lurking through all these pages that seems to make sense.
Ssaliss2011-03-18 00:36:46
I'd have to say I agree that Razenth's reasoning is shaky as well. Having the scum have such an obvious giveaway as that would just be too... well, obvious. And I definitely don't buy that we weren't going to figure it out either. Personally I always assume people can figure those things out rather quickly if they were trying to.
Diamondais2011-03-18 00:57:32
I don't see why people wouldn't connect flavour to the background, unless the background story comes from some totally obscure setting that you'd have to be the awesomest hipster on the planet to know.
Going with my feeling.

Llesvelt has read all of it again and does not longer believe that Gleip is the culprit, well at least not more than he believes Razenth is, indeed.
UNVOTE GLEIP
VOTE RAZENTH
There sure is a lot to read already, though, Llesvelt thinks.

Your feelings are wrong and I am amused at your reliance on scum tells and gut feelings that are no better than random lynches. I will laugh when you lynch not only town, but Yggdra's bodyguard. I dare you not to lynch me, and I dare scum to nightkill Yggdra tonight.
I'm also pretty sure that Tekora roleblocked me, but I will have to try my power out anyways to confirm that that is the case for the rest of you lot.

Prove your innocence then. Fairly easy claim that, with no evidence to back it up.
Razenth2011-03-18 02:44:10
Tekora and Kalaneya have already divined the keys to my identity, but you lot simply chose not to believe.
Patience my dear. Go ahead and lynch me. I'm as good as dead anyways.

Razenth, what would you think if I were to thank you for helping me set up a trap?
Diamondais2011-03-18 03:00:44
If Ssalis is dead in the morning, I will be pushing your lynch Razenth. For now, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, I don't trust you however. Hopefully luck will remain on our side in this.

Push away! I'll probably be dead tonight. Scum, I invite you to NK one of us. No doubt you were going to NK Ssaliss first, in which case you would've hit me. Now you have a perfectly viable target to hit: me. And you'll have gotten town in both cases. Go for it.

Town is reckless and scum is cautious, isn't that one of you veteran mafia's players fabled scumtells? I'm sure Casi knows, she was the one who directed me to one.
But that's all irrelevant, because we're gonna lose a townie today anyways. Maybe Tekora's roleblock affected my bodyguard power. Maybe someone has a magic unblockable NK. Maybe someone will protect Ssaliss but the redirect will bounce onto me anyways. Or maybe, just maybe, they'll ignore me and Ssaliss and just go NK someone else. Hey, that's cool. Again, whatever happens, we're gonna lose a townie (or two).
I seem to have found one more tell! A scum one this time too. People who jump into the middle of a lynch (2-6) are more likely to be scum themselves. Here's looking at you, Sham, Llesvelt, Ilyssa.

That last one was the one I was hinting at in my spoilered post. Specifically, it would be third and fourth as the ones to watch out for.
