And some people aren't, which is good, too. I think it's to do with the struggle to leave something approaching a 'legacy' for those who come after.

Some people, eh?
I'm honestly not sure about the whole aides getting the ability to edit chelps thing. I know there have been times when people have destroyed all their ghelps in bitterness on their way out... I really wouldn't want to see something like that become more possible at the city/commune level. Much more damaging than loss of gold, really.

I never thought it was a big deal. Most clan scrolls I use are constantly being updated--they were designed to be. If I want something to be memorialized in my name, I'll publish a book.

Clanhelps are definitely different to chelps (although most of the ones I have access to tend to just be used to record things for posterity). I disagree though, there are projects, which anyone can be assigned to, which seem more designed to be constantly updated. Chelps are usually full of semi-permanent information relevant to the org.

The only reason I would like aides to have the ability to update CHELP scrolls is because some of those are regularly updated. I know we have a CHELP scroll which lists everyone's trade skill, which I guess could be transferred to a project, but not too many people actually know about projects, honestly. People tend to look more towards CHELP than projects, imo.

Projects actually have LESS people able to edit them, don't they?

They're assigned to people, who can then transfer them, or they can be reassigned by the same people who can edit chelps.

True, I just find them really annoying. Being able to assign aides to help edit the project would be WONDERFUL.
