Tattoos!

Yes, others can see your tattoos.

Whatever tattoos you've written into your description are your own business, though I do not know why you wouldn't have them made into righteous tattoos!

I really don't know if you can or cannot select it, Dariaus - I doubt it's relative to a Cartel, but being a guildless monk may affect you.

(And when Tattoos was in the design stage, I think everyone agreed that they wanted permanency as one of the features. We wanted customizable tattoos via our pretty unique (and in my opinion the best in IRE) design system, and we wanted them to be a more interesting approach that the other IRE games. Estarra's always been a strong believer in that, and she really stuck to it, imo, with this design. So hats off to Est - I'm terribly fond of it, at least!)

Meep! The Celest tattoo parlour seems to...not be a tattoo parlour. Meer...wanted my divine necklace...

No feedback on my ideas, Eventru? sad.gif

Any chance you could find out for me before I temporarily forget bookbinding? wink.gif

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.

Here's to hoping that tattoos can stay mostly cosmetic and not have enough mechanical impact to be considered "necessary" for being competitive. I'll be quite happy if I never have to get one.

Just get invisible tattoos of Elostian! suspicious.gif

Gotta make invisible ink before that works, hehe!

No, you just have to find invisible ink...
Unknown2011-04-17 02:54:01
Well, oil of invisibility would finally have a use. Hmm hmm.
Razenth2011-04-17 02:57:07
I'll agree with Vendetta on this one. Not really feeling tattoos. And honestly, I really don't feel like shaving down just to get tattooed.

Pre-emptively requesting an artifact that hides your tattoos from prying eyes for those who are shy about being covered in inky designs. suspicious.gif

Pre-emptively thought of and may or may not be forthcoming.

10dmp to up to 7 different damage types... I'd guess most combatants or even bashers will go for it to be competitive. I dunno if this is the skillset designed to replace robes for monks, but from first impressions, a trans'd tattoo monk will be better than a trans'd tailoring monk. Giving the dmp buffs to other classes as well is just icing on the cake, maybe? If tattoos are indeed permanent (one of my unanswered questions hint hint) then it wouldn't be THAT much of a hassle to get some dmp buffs down and then just ignore it forevermore, though.

There needs to be a tattoo of Elostian that requires oil of invisibility. It has to be done.
Daraius2011-04-17 03:06:26
Tattoo artist should be able to ink his own tats, too.
Acrune2011-04-17 03:06:37
Do tattoos work on a carapace? Can I just have them painted on? I'm not sure I want needles piercing my protective shell. nono.gif

I wasn't sure on this, so I called in the aslaran professionals of the Hallifaxian Litigation Firm Of Firm Litigation to handle it.

Find me a tattoo artist who can ink tattoos on his own back, and you've got a supporter!

Yes, yes they do. And you can try to have them painted on, but I don't think that'd last long in Celest...
Xenthos2011-04-17 03:08:32
Yes, tattoos are permanent.

Until you get them removed, at least.
