Please try out and give your comments/suggestions for Battlerun here!

I feel that either a reasonable grace period (2 minutes?) or maintenance of defs plus a shorter grace period (30s?) is necessary to avoid people being ganked undeffed as soon as they die and to maneuver out of any bad rooms they may land in (such as right in the centre of a meld). The latter both avoids problems with how long it can take to raise power defs and also keeps the game moving faster, so I think that's better.

Another idea is to create a seperate, peaced room that you are dropped into upon death, with exits into various points of the arena. You can add various failsafes to prevent abuse (kicking you out of the room in 30s, so you can't idle in there forever) and all.
Another part I have trouble wrapping my mind about is getting kicked out of the event upon reaching 0 points. If the points you gain are already relative to the points of the person you kill, then there's no reason why 0 pointers can't remain in the game and continue to fight. People who just farm them over and over are going to find that they can't get any points from 0 pointers. It's a bit disheartening for newbies who want to play, but just get kicked out before they even get to try anything.

I think I have to agree with Lerad on allowing those with 0 points to remain in. I'd like to see this as a more novice-friendly game than the other ones are.

The problem is I saw a newbie who wanted out of the game but had to be killed several more times. He didn't have heartstop obviously, so allowing people to stay in at zero points makes that situation a whole lot worse.

Okay. What about instead of using heartstop, have another method of quitting?

How is Battlerun working out with the new change so you don't lose defs when you die? We want comments!

Haven't tried it yet, but I approve of this change.

I personally found this to be quite a lot more fun when I played.
