I don't care that there's a new article for me to Digg. You don't have to tell me twice, either.
Arel2011-04-27 02:30:36
I thought part of the reason they went to the Digg thing is because people found the vote reminders to be annoying? The Digg reminders are just as annoying, if not more so.

Now we get both. Yay?

I've also been getting 2 for Digg, at the same time. Twice as bad freaked.gif

I'm not liking Digg, and honestly, I liked the funny messages in random colours that went along with the "Vote For Lusternia" link.

Edit: thought this was tweets, my bad.

Reddit is so superior to Digg.

You'll be reminded, but you only have to vote 1 time per week instead of 12 hours.

They also went with Digg so they could reward people for voting, which they couldn't do on TMS.

The voting process itself is annoying. Log into IRE. Log into Digg. Okay, now you can use the link to Digg it.

I don't even think the articles are that good. Every one I've read seems like it was written by someone from Achaea, too. If Lusternia got some recognition there, maybe I could care a bit more and be less annoyed about it.

Now that I can agree with. The articles would be far better if they weren't so incredibly cheesy.

Pretty much. I'm not sure how incredibly bland articles are supposed to be good marketing.

I still vote but have yet to digg an article. confused.gif

The digg spam startles me, but I'm sure I'll learn to completely ignore it with time.

They create awareness. Probably little interest, but I don't imagine this particular campaign costs them any money either, so nothing to lose except reputation. Because, you know, a game like this can totally afford to treat players as transient and reputation as something to be surrendered for a few more transient players. You know, like an Evony ad.

I must be completely oblivious, haven't even noticed a Digg message. I think I'm trained to mentally filter out all internet spam and advertisements by now.

It's hard to miss.

I skimmed the article about 5 things to do before joining a family. I have to say...I wouldn't publish that in a professional manner in its current state. Poorly written with a cacophonous style and not to mention a few grammatical errors.
Shamarah2011-04-28 05:03:54
Also, does anyone even use Digg anymore? This just reeks of someone at IRE hearing about social media sites and trying to dive in without the faintest idea of what they're doing.
Unknown2011-04-28 05:26:34
I was going to read the article and then maybe vote for it or whatever it is you do on Digg, but then I found out I would have to register so I didn't.
