Not only are we now potent, we're also callous! The log lines for the honor bumps are cool, by the way.

I like how it rhymes!

Ixion has the right of it.
There was a small bug last end-of-month that caused only a few older houses to be ran. That's fixed, and you'll get your honour boost again in the next round. I've also reduced the gain per member, and may again in the future (not decided).

For houses of blood, please consider adding an honor loss if a member of the house dies by the hand of another adventurer. The reason for this is that they lose the malus to "wanton killing" but don't really get a disadvantage comparable to the other house types to outweigh choosing it. Roleplay-wise, someone who is reckless doesn't really gain much notoriety if they're dying all the time regardless of the number of kills they may produce (since this number right now represents quantity and not quality, it appears to favor killing low skilled people repeatedly for honor).
Ixion2011-05-05 11:04:44
I guess you've been watching a certain someone jump random people.
Those who randomly jump people tend to bring help to hinder so quality over quantity doesn't apply because if you're jumping someone with help odds are your singular target is going to die.
Fortunately, wanton mayhem gains are small and overshadowed by other gain methods, so essentially they're wasting time that they could be using to earn honor more efficiently.

Wasn't gaining some sort of active honour (like hunting or whatnot) meant to prevent the honour decay tick?

Bugged, they know about it.
Esano2011-05-05 11:16:27
That it didn't is a bug which is being addressed.

Yeah...
readlog starleaf
wtf?
Ileein2011-05-05 11:17:28
Ok!

So, is the racial bonus supposed to tic only for great houses, or is that part of the bug?
Diamondais2011-05-05 13:28:45
CODE
2011/05/05 10:58:33 - Shame lowers the eyes of the House: Our family's inactivity has caused some to forget the deeds done in the past.
Inactivity of what? Just that someone hasn't influenced/bashed or..?
Ixion2011-05-05 13:44:16
See above.
Diamondais2011-05-05 13:46:32
Oh, part of the bug? So guessing that is the message when you just don't gain any honour (after said bug is fixed)?
Lendren2011-05-05 14:24:57
If you don't gain any in a given (month|weave) you also lose a bunch. The "didn't gain any" check was apparently failing for most of us.

Failed for everyone.
You lose 2,000 (you need to gain at least 100 in a weave not to lose anything, which is 2 elected seats or one bashing/influencing tic), which rolls in around 1% of the maximum honour.
Unknown2011-05-05 14:29:19
Seems like after all the kinks are worked out, we'll have to flush the points and everyone start from zero again.
Eventru2011-05-05 14:34:51
Hey, so long as everyone benefits and suffers on relatively equal grounds from these bugs (*shakefist!*), everyone will be sitting right around the same. Except d'Murani, who will have a nice lead from that epic quest! (Not as much as they got though. Not really sure how that one happened yet!)
Llandros2011-05-05 14:55:32
It's possible I'm making this up, but will there/is there a power bonus to the org with the most honourable family? Kinda like there is for being the cultural center and stuff like that.

If their bugged epic bonus (25403 != 10700) is reduced to the proper level Kalas will beat them by.. today. Just sayin'

Yes, it's part of culture power. (500)
