By the way, thanks so much for this, admin! These new changes promise to be very interesting.

I don't need numbers, I already have them; an hour of influencing should get your family out of the negatives.
Maybe two if you're really slow.

I'll say this loud and clear - if a small group of players want to join the Shervalian family, we'll consider placing them in it. Special-like, just for them.

Woo.
Now if only I paid strict attention to how many things that was, or how long it took.

When it says a 'malus' to honour gains, it simply means there's a % decrease - you still gain honour. IE if you gain 100 honour for killing a denizen, you may only get 80 as a letter member.
'Wanton killing' means PvP when someone is in an enemy they are not enemied to - ie jumping someone on Astral, or the highways, or Avechna's Peak. Of the 'active' means, this is the only one with honour loss - except for Blood Houses, which gain honour from it. (Though I don't think it's much)

There is a big difference between killing someone on Astral, or killing someone on highways or Avechna's Peak... Fighting in neutral territory, beyond Avechna's influence really shouldn't be so penalized... it seems like if you have any combatants in your family you better be a Blood House or else prepare to take regular hits. What happened to the old arrangement with honor being lost only when you kill people who aren't enemied to any of your orgs?

While very cool and quite funny, that was a pretty huge hit! At least, it is by old standards. Can anyone provide examples of gain/loss so I can get an idea of what the new numbers will look like?

100 is only a minor blip, really.

All of the passive ticks are 100 honour each (either positive or negative), modified by the moderate / major / minor bonuses listed in the help files. With moderate being 15%.

Yeah. Mine was 100. Go clear Catacombs and you'll get it right back.
Krackenor2011-05-03 03:48:52
Ok...that makes me feel quite a bit better. All I knew is that we were finally nearing 100 again and suddenly it was back to the negatives!

Yeah, probably the reason why they added the 10 member minimum for historical families.

I like that Talan is "limp".
So anyone know what the values are for hunting/influencing? Is it based off of mob strength or just a flat number of kills/influences?
Eventru2011-05-03 04:12:32
Mob strength.
