I quite like the thought of expending family honour to gain family denizens in an org. Deeper relations, I say, even if they weren't made to account for more active members.
Ixion2011-05-27 00:30:24
Spending honor for things sounds cool, but no one would really do that once everyone gets to the honor cap lest they hurt their chances of becoming MHF.
Eventru2011-05-27 00:35:58
While I can appreciate the idea (having mulled it in the past, in previous threads), I don't think the current system lends itself to it. Rather, I think families with high honour are more likely to be picked, should an opportunity arise that we want to name a denizen after a player family.
Xiel2011-05-27 01:04:27
Pity. I'd think the littler houses would be more inclined to using up their honour to get denizens if they didn't think they can keep up with the bigger houses who want to dominate the top family seat rankings. Oh well. -trudges on-

If honour loss for that works like Eventru said it does for bashing and influencing gains, your kills will be saved until the next tic. So if honour loss happens for every 10th kill and you've killed 9 people and then don't do anything for a week and then kill a 10th person, the game remembers the first nine and will stick tick the honour loss.
Esano2011-06-03 18:15:40
It also counts all kills made while raiding, not just those in neutral territory. And as you killed me earlier, you must have trimmed that log....
Vadi2011-06-03 18:34:56
I killed you after Izekeal.
Thanks for the explanation Arel.

They will, however, gain certain privileges from being in the service of a Liege House, particularly the good deeds of the Liege House shall reflect on the Bannerhouse - and the reverse is also true.
This is the bit that indicates that banner houses/great houses will share portions of one another's honour - but where/when is it done? I haven't seen it in the logs at all... does it get credited with each honour tic, or at change of month or weaving or...?
Ixion2011-06-03 20:05:27
33% of a banner's gain goes to GH, end of the IG month.

How does that look on the banner house's end?

If bannerhouses aren't getting gains, then that's a bug.
IF it's occurring, have someone in a bannerhouse bug it (with the appropriate family names, ie: "Banner House Clinton isn't getting honour gains from Liege House Kennedy.")

I have a question, how the heck does influencing work in regards to houses, and how much do I have to influence to gain honour? For a Culture House.

It's like a running tally that runs whenever you influence something that tics whenever you reach the threshold... the example I've heard is that if a kephera worker is mob level 50, you gain 50 points out of however unknown many needed whenever you influence one. Basically, just influence how you would. Takes a bit over an hour now.

What is this?
2011/06/07 02:04:39 - the Callous House of D'cente` has made little if any improvement, and so reflects upon us.
They didn't get a decay.. so.. wtf?
Also, what is this?
2011/06/07 02:04:39 - The House's eyes are raised as its honour improves: due to the nobile nature of our liege house. (also typo in there..and we have no liege house..)
I haven't seen either of these before.

The former means that d'Cente` did not gain any honour (so you didn't, either). I'll have to look into the latter (and the former, apparently) tomorrow when I get back from classes!
