My talk with Eventru was a 2 person discussion not on the envoy aether, wrongly assumed again, but by all means keep going.
I feel like I pretty well disemboweled your falses there. So there's no need, if you're willing to let it drop here. And get back to poor Dylara's question!

It has not been a two person conversation, as I mentioned in the very first post I made. It has been an ongoing one in which multiple people (including myself, yourself, and Talan) were all discussing possibilities and ramifications (such as possibly losing it from a decay tick, to which some types of families are more prone than others). Further, both words and phrases can in fact have a broader meaning than the first narrow definition that one finds.
Edit to your edit:
As far as I know it comes from random Envoy speculation amongst Envoys (False; there were indeed discussions with yourself, myself, Talan, and with others about this subject over the course of a couple of days) , without any comment one way or the other from higher powers (False: This is still part of the same sentence, so to my knowledge there had not been any comment from the Admin -- there's no way for this to be incorrect!) . However, there has been a lot of such speculation , so it is possible Someone chimed in at some point. (False: A less narrow definition of the phrase does in fact work-- it just happens to be one that you're excluding).

Disembowel takes 12 seconds as a warrior, you only made it to .1 seconds regrettably.

Time stamps say 6 minutes.

I'll ask my question again tomorrow, maybe by then this will have stopped.

Actually, at this point I'm done; from the last response it's just both of us repeating what we've said, with Ixion resorting to 'lols' to try to make a point. I'm content with the statement as it stands.

I'm pretty sure if we weaponized this IRL we could make a fortune off the Department of Defense.

Pretty sure it wouldn't do much of anything for sales of things other than pillows and hammers...
Eventru2011-07-08 02:17:32
Xenthos' pedanticism and Ixion's need to be right has already been weaponized.
We call it the combined nuclear arsenals of the US and Russia.
They can stop, because neither of them are actually going to do anything egregious - it's like the Cold War all over again.
If another house makes it to the honour cap, they will not become the Most Honourable House. However if Kalas loses honour by any means (decay, etc) they will lose that privilege, as well.
There's a few bugs yet in the family system, and I am familiar with them - I've just been incredibly busy (new job, plus classes) so I haven't had a chance to look into and fix them yet. I get my weekend schedule tomorrow and, presuming I have time, I'll get at them then.

@Xen
Your "points" may be valid in your own world and mind, but the question was specifically where the "supposed to," as I said it, came from which has nothing to do with your own thoughts, opinions, experiences, or otherwise. You responded to a question directed at the genesis of my post, something to which you have not even the slightest of clues about as you've shown. If you think you know better than me about my own 2 party discussion and actual answer to Shiri's question I would like to take lessons from such an enlightened master.
@Eventru
Aww you didn't see my joke

Hoping this is kind of an answer to my question, can hope, right?

I can see this ending up in a very silly (not good silly) sort of situation after a while.

Thanks for clarifying. Maybe you would consider adding this to the help file for great houses.

And rewording the thing about publishing books!

I think we're going to shift more to what's been asked for (all books passing critiques getting some honour, with big gains for scholarly/literary gains).

It's part of the roleplay, you might say.
Blood house still needs a real disadvantage against the advantage of no loss via wanton killing. I just have no idea what.

Yeah, the Talnaras being locked into a winning situation is one of the main reasons people asked for the change to begin with.

Love it. And as for plays? The help files say directing and performing in plays is worth honor, but that's another situation where actually only the prestige winner gets honor. Unfortunately, plays don't have the same critique system as books, so I imagine that's why every successful recording doesn't instantly grant honor to the performers and directors.
Ileein2011-07-08 05:31:41
You could try doing it by viewing thresholds, I guess? Alternatively, anything submitted to the contest gains a certain level of honour, while the winner gains the larger amount.
