Polished silver gleams brightly along the surface of this small coin, nearly reflective in its shine
and worn smooth with age. A neatly bevelled edge circumscribes the currency on both faces, ringing
the image within. Upon one side, the Wheel of Tzaraziko is depicted in miniature, spoked segments
each possessive of a unique, small design intricately engraved into the soft metal. The slender
statue of the Vernal Herself rises behind the Wheel, gripping it possessively with one hand while
the other points down before its face, serving as a macabre indicator for the device. Upon the
reverse face of the coin, a tall top hat rests jauntily at the centre of the coin, sweeping brim
supporting slender ribbons and curls. From the hat itself, numerous items are sculpted as pouring
forth, including coins, rings, pages of scribed text, and minute, intricate casks.
It weighs 1 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Viynain Erid'in the Sanguine.

Isn't that kind of like scratching a lottery ticket and getting another lottery ticket?
Actually, I guess it's like getting 2-for-1.

Never played scratch-offs? They do do that.

I know too much about gambling to play scratch offs... they're a sucker's bet. I'll occasionally throw a dollar down for one of the big lotteries when it gets ~100M or so, but even then I know it's a sucker's bet. Now, I've paid for a fair number of credits here with poker winnings, but that at least is a bet I have some control over =)

My mom always bought them and I am lucky (so long as I don't directly benefit).

Great Rune of Glass Working for me!
Though, as a side note, I have no idea what to do with it or what it's for, since this is the first time that I'm playing Lusternia with any serious intention... heh.

It turns a single vial into an artifact vial (doesn't decay, doubles the capacity for sips) if you attach it. But hey, you can always trade it in for credits.
reshi2011-06-18 15:56:03
Sorry for derailing the overall thread here a bit, but how do you trade it in?
I don't know if I should go for credits for lessons and weapon runes etc right now? Or if I should keep the rune and get an artie vial! Which should I do?

ARTIFACT - VALUE to check how many credits you're going to get for it, ARTIFACT
- TRADEIN to trade it in. Personally, if you're new, I'd advocate trading it in for the lessons and sinking them into your guildskills - arti vials are nice, but they're mostly fluff to sink money into once you're actually set up.

Unless your character is very new and really needs the lessons, you might as well use the Rune. It doesn't trade in for very much, I don't think. It basically gives you a free refill every time you refill that vial. Just be mindful of the fact that pouring anything out of it will halve the number of sips you pour out, but pouring into it doesn't double anything. So, if you have a full arti vial of 100 sips, and pour it into a regular vial, it'll turn into 50 sips. If you pour those 50 sips back into the arti vail, it's still 50 sips, it doesn't turn back into 100. If you pour back and forth between an arti vial and a regular vial, you'll eventually end up with 0 sips.
