1-2-3-4, I declare a God war.

Kialkarkea:
I'm not 100% sure on this, but doesn't the Observatory teleporter also dump you in a random room as well?
I think it's a random room from a pre-set list.

Remember that one time that one guy got into that one order's inner temple, got the scrolls/books from their bookshelf (since restrictions don't actually work with those, and never have, for some reason), copied them, and set forth with lots of gloating over market about selling said order's secrets?
Nothing new here.
that actually happen? I never heard about it. Maybe it was when I was gone

It did, and that may be entirely possible.
Unknown2012-02-09 01:42:04
Yep, that person used a hamster to do that to Vira's order.
It was the same guy who kick started this round of complaints too. Ho ho ho.

Moving on, I really wish the Faethorn knights didn't scoop up the honeycombs. Damn you, honey based cooking designs.
Xiel2012-02-09 02:35:35
I still want that artifact to produce honeycombs.

I sort of like begging from them to get the honeycombs. Sometimes you get a SURPRISE! Like free monolith sigils.

Talan:
Sorry about your temple. I know I've hated it when people have broken into my patron's. The intention was to be quickly and silently in and out, and no one would have been the wiser. It was the whole getting caught thing that caused the kerfuffle. Also, don't hate the player, hate the metagame (but hate yourselves too, if you do that. Don't be hypocrites).
100% agree and yeah I have used hamster to get in places. I already discussed the disparity between reality and a dingbat hamster so I won't repeat it. A tangential issue is about getting access to order only things that make the game fun for those people.
I'm done.

Forsaken Grumark, Warrior Chieftain towers here, an enormous cudgel resting in one massive hand.
Own up, who taught him druidry?
Rivius2012-02-10 00:02:38
Honestly, it seems like him being able to get in/buy the pet was just a coding oversight that should be (if not already) rectified. That's all there is to it. I don't think I could blame him for breaking in or buying the pet if he was able to and did not know he wasn't supposed to. I know I would pull that off to get a stinking cool hydra like that :(.
That's not to say I'm supporting him here, he probably did this to annoy you and gloat about it, which understandably you should be irritated about. At the end of the day, he technically didn't do anything against the rules and if it wasn't meant for him to be able to own it, the admin would fix it (as they apparently did).

I always stand by this, but it seems not many others do - Just because technically you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I agree with you, but when all is said and done, at least this problem got rectified appropriately.

Sooo... Who do I bribe for a Hydra? >.>

And 10 dingbats.
Again, as being someone myself who is Transcendant in Over-reaction, Xarconz, you are being way, waaaaaay over the top, to the point that your ad hominem lambasting makes you look a lot worse than stealing the pet ever made Shuyin look.
He got in to a sealed temple and stole a beast. If that shows a lack of restraint to you, I can only imagine the reaction if you ever wound up in Seren or Glom when the gloves were all the way off.
Or if Narsrim, at his acme of greificitude, decided that he was going to personally ruin your day.
Or if someone broke in to your temple, made copies of all your temple's books, and then loudly sold them over the market channel.
Or if you walked in to the aetherplex, excited to see the gnome ship and bring in your items, and were brutally mugged for them by a gang of Mags.
Or any of the other things that often really really suck, but inevitably are going to come up now and again in a game like this.
Stealing the pet cost him a few dingbats and is ultimately a seriously roleplayable event that, while obnoxious, was below par in the category of greefology.

I've personally done it three times that I'll publically admit to. Not the bragging part, but the using SHFIT REALITY to go raid order libraries part. Ixion's also done it in the past.
Lawliet2012-02-10 02:00:08
Rainydays:
And 10 dingbats.
Only ten? Sweeeet. Plus my soul that's only worth like... Eleven dingbats.
Revan2012-02-10 02:02:08
25*
Lavinya2012-02-10 02:02:24
They cost 25 dingbats, not sure where 10 came from.
