I wasn't picking a fight. I didn't say other orgs have things we don't, except we've been unlucky with who is online a lot. I was actually more critisizing our lack or organisation when we do have numbers, then crying zerg. I said we'd have no excuse, remember? I swear, not everything is looking for a drama fight fest!

He was replying to Phantasm, not you. I'd quote and point it out, but quoting and editing multiple post sucks on an iPod.

I don't think he was refering to you, just Phantasmfool trying to use the 'whine until it changes' strategy
Lavinya2012-02-10 04:31:02
Oh! (No idea who phantasmfool even plays, so I was confused somewhat). Never mind me, back to my box I go!

10 Things I Hate About Success
I hate the way we publish things,
and the way our contests rock.
I hate the way our training works,
and how it's perfect like a clock.
I hate our big dumb combat wins,
and the way it makes you feel.
I hate how when we win some things,
it sometimes looks surreal.
I hate the way our leaders lead,
I hate it when you cry.
I hate it when we win at nodes,
but never really try.
I hate the way we like the commune
and how our families stand tall.
But mostly I hate that I don't hate it,
not even close...
not even a little bit...
not even at all.

Yeah; I don't see anything wrong with what you wrote. Quite the opposite, in fact; I agree with what you said in your post. You don't always have the numbers, and when you don't, well, things don't work out. Glom had that problem too for a while, after all, and I remember being one of two people online when revolts happen and going "Well sod it, we can't do anything anyway".

@Druken
I want to like, but it has the word commune in it and I don't feel like substituting the word city in.
Also, not all the words mesh with my ideals.
I hate the color yellow for example.

Kat Stratford would have made an amazing Glomazon.

I too am interested to know what mechanical bias there is, surely it can't be choke singlehandedly winning bubbles.
Or can it.
Or can it.

It's not a question of mechanics, but of morale, and it's not worth discussing here.

It's because Gaudiguch has Dovahkin.

But but... the smug vs bitter debates add tons of new and fascinating insights.

I'm not stirring any pots. I'm shouting at them. Yol Tor Shul is great for bringing things to a rolling boil.

Revolts and aetherflares are precise enough that you can get psyched for them and spend more time being online when you expect them, and imprecise enough to occur 30-45 minutes after you go to bed. Even wildnodes just... isn't exactly when you expect it.

The admins made it so lumber decays even in stockrooms, specifically to prevent this. Now that's value-add.

I only stockpiled it until there was enough to make breaking into an enemy village worth it.
Unknown2012-02-10 12:54:38
To be fair, I don't think the change to lumber in stockrooms was specifically to hurt orgs with few villages. I can think of several different people who had completely forgotten they had hundreds upon hundreds of lumber planks in their stockrooms until the call for clean up came around...
Qistrel2012-02-10 13:12:56
I don't even have a stockroom, so it doesn't make any difference to me. I was complaining about our lack of villages, and the fact that I was the only druid who thought it might be a good idea not to let all our trees fall over from old age.
