Celest definitely won the 'grab the staff' race. I don't even know how Kelly managed to do so, by the time I was at 1600 points I was too insane to go after it (I could move, but enough commands got eaten to make it slow in comparison to all the other Sealbearers).

She did amazing at that.

PS: At 3400 points it was taking me a minute+ just to get back to Astral, and then sit there flying going "PLEASE SUMMON ME I AM HERE". Heh. So crazy.

She sat off astral most of the time so she was way less insane than most.

Now, I can see why you might say this towards anyone else, but towards me? When you can count the number of times I have been in PvP on one hand (of which all are defence when no other druid was around) in the four years I have been playing lusternia, do you really think I would have been any help at all? Being a meat shield I do not consider helping either.

I missed most of it again due to stupidity at work. But I got back in time for the tail end of it, and got to get up on astral and get clobbered a few times, so yay. It is the first time I didn't just flat out miss the entire thing and come home to a news post.

This event is only partially about being good for pvp though, it's a lot more about just moving around and working together as a team. There were plenty of non-comms up on astral throughout the event, and they didn't really die any more frequently than anyone else because every foray is a group undertaking. Of course you would have been some help at all. Everyone is some help at all...which is probably the point of the remarks. Even if all you have to offer is moral support, it's appreciated. If you don't say anything or join in the whole time, I could understand how that could put people off. Maybe try to include yourself next time to whatever extent you're comfortable. Don't let it bother you too much though now. I'm sure I've made similar comments to people in the past myself...we're after your participation, not your mad pk skillz.

Oh, I wasn't really bothered by it. Just the fact someone was bothered by that I didn't join in an ascension surprises me a bit. Given I sat in my manse for most it I can see where the remarks come from. The first hour and a half I was really only half paying attention as I was with some people from school working on a project.

I had a lot of fun, even though I got completely rocked by the blackout mobs whenever I was out of a group...those things are ridiculous. Congrats to Xenthos!

I swear, tattoos are the only type of design I have serious trouble coming up with anything for. Not having a third dimension to work with really throws me off. Phoebus is NEVER gonna have a full set of tattoos at this rate, and the ones she does have are incredibly simplistic. I am sorry you go neglected, tattoo cartel. They must have a cure for this somewhere.

It was said on the guild aether which had also been used for communication during the event. He wasn't called out randomly or anything. There was context and it was an IC conversation.

Vadi was brilliant and amazing throughout the event. He worked his supportive behind off, and got most of the BT to pitch in. He was eligible (And keen) for TA but supported another candidate with good spirits because you know what they say, nothing matters but Glomdoring.

Careful what you wish for. This is only half of what we need. We need shrines and discretionaries to be just as strong as they are for defense of home territory; and for them to go away or be severely weakened for everything else, and there needs to be a something else worth doing outside of home territory, something that matters, something more than random gankings.

Ethereal Serenwilde is like the one org territory that is still regularly raided these days. Cosmic is still going to be ignored by and large unless there's more reason to kill things there. Ladies actually take effort to get back - who's going to care about piddly power lost to demons/angels? Nevermind that Hallifax and Gaudiguch lose nothing and only have to suffer cries for help on their Guardian GT.

It would be nice if other places besides etherwilde were raided. But don't kid yourself, the reason its raided isn't because of the loss of ladies. Its because distort doesn't lock down leaving like it does the other planes, so you don't need to leave a ship there to actually get out.
