I like either of the two above options, preference is allowing transversing again. People can still go manually distort rifts to lock down planes. Though I doubt changes to distort are up for consideration.

Owned, blame people who really hate getting miners stolen via distort.

Maybe it could be re-envoyed with a delay before letting you transverse. Though not something as insanely long as the delay on cubix, maybe 20 seconds - at most since it can still be stopped by just distorting the rift.
