It took me a day, but I finally found it again.

I think we should be indignant?

About three posts later it devolves into people shouting at the administration for "failing to deliver content", so I'd say it's their collective petulance talking.
Casilu2012-02-22 19:48:45
Does that make Imperian the U.N. of IRE? Nothing ever happens, but it takes a really really long time?

Razenth:

And they take three episodes just to fight. And there are dinosaurs.

And there was SO MUCH SCREAMING. So yeah, it's like Lusty.

Randomnewperson: Gaudiguch made me give them their essence! Is this normal, because that's insane!

(I offer gem)

Randomnewperson: No, I'm not buying an artifact to hunt, blahblahblah, Glomdoring is weak for not helping me keep the essence, your policies are terribad, blahblahblah.

I communedisfavor for being outrageously rude to an elder who's trying to help.

She quits.

I feel bad.

There are other places to hunt that don't intrude on the rights of allied nations.
Unknown2012-02-23 17:32:07
Yeah, don't feel bad on that one. You made the right call. You gotta nip these things in the bud early, or you end up with problems.
Druken2012-02-23 17:32:52
Yes. She didn't believe me, proceeded to correct my grammar (Mudlet sometimes leaves out random letters in long paragraphs if I'm not careful), and then declared me, and all of Glomdoring, incapable of teaching people anything about the world.

...which is exactly what I was trying to do before she went exorcist on me. :(
Druken2012-02-23 17:34:06
Ok, I feel better. Thank you. :)

Maybe if you went out into the real world and didn't sit in your purply wyrdy-durdy forest all the time, you'd know how life works. MAN.

There is a trill monk named Cassowary.

I snerked a bit

Should have made her Queen of Night.
Razenth2012-02-23 20:15:45
Would aloof/haughty black housecat describe something that embodies the traits of Mother Night?
Druken2012-02-23 20:58:03
No, that's the mortal interpretation. Night is actually founded upon mostly grizzly horrors that make the Black Death look like a trip to Disney World. She's evil and twisted and merciless, but because she also likes beauty, and because beautiful people never do their own work, we've become haughty, aloof, and as disinterested as your typical housecat-- black, beige, or siamese, but no calicos because ew, calicos. *pearls*

I see what you did there.
Razenth2012-02-23 21:07:49
So... it's a something that embodies the traits of Shadowdancers?
Riluna2012-02-23 21:19:25
It's certainly a fitting familiar for a Night witch (unless they're still not calling themselves witches over there? Not sure). But Eillidh and Patchou kind of already have the disdainful, aloof cat thing down pretty well, so it's not entirely a Night thing.
Talan2012-02-23 21:29:00
A black cat or kitten is certainly a suitable familiar for any Shadowbound or Penumbra. Both in manner and aesthetics, such an animal is a quintessential emblem of Night's grace and beauty. The other housecats are best left in the hands of more experienced members of the Coven, who have attuned themselves more firmly with Mother Night in ways extending beyond the surface, obviously excepting calicos as Druken wisely points out. Calico cats are ugly, and a member of the Night Coven is raised to see in each the face of Patchou. The difficulty of the matter ultimately lies in the fact that the question is fundamentally flawed; Mother Night herself being rather obviously a "dog person."
Druken2012-02-23 21:31:38
We're witches, yes. We're moving in a "Night Priest/Priestess" sort of direction, but at our blackened core, we're witches. The slaugh, one of the Shadowdancer's fae to call and arguably the fae that resembles the Night the most, gets her kicks from being beautiful, aloof, and full of deadly diseases that she can pass onto people with only a tender stroke of her finger.

The SDs sashayed down the path of least resistance more than it did, say, the paths leading to the barghest (a drooling dog) or the redcap (a fanatical blood letter) because, again, flaunting an aloof demeanour is more fun than drooling. HOWEVER, they are all included!

Night Herself is also a pretty staunch reflection of Lord Nocht, Who, if you haven't had the pleasure, is pretty dark/deadly/creepy/Shadowdancery.

Edit: He's also pretty and dark, and is most assuredly a cat person.
