Back to Common Grounds.

Ayisdra:

Still makes me sad that Halli disconnected my manse way back when they first went against Glom and yet you got to keep your shop in the city. :(

Well, shops aren't a portal into the middle of their city that they don't have direct control over who can use.
Ssaliss2012-04-03 19:13:38
They disconnected mine too, and no one knew why it was disconnected. The power minister went AWOL after that, and it took an IC year or so before I could catch the new one. Sadness :(

People could have easily teleported to Ssaliss. Besides, I would have keep the perms in favour of Hallifax >.>

People could have easily teleport to any unenemied person they sent in first. Aethermanse entrance is still much easier to do and harder to figure out what manse they came through.

And maybe you would have, but they got no way of controling the perms. Can they even check the perms? I dunno.

Maybe they had other reasons. I just think those are the common reasons for disconnecting manses.
Ssaliss2012-04-03 20:18:34
Someone can check perms, yeah. Can't remember who off the top of my head, but it's possible.
Enyalida2012-04-03 20:20:56
Even if you can check perms, the owner can change them with no effort and no time. If it's not an owner you trust, there is no guarantee they won't use their manse to ferry people in. Granted, even your own people can do that, but it's less likely.
Ssaliss2012-04-03 20:25:33
That's why I've suggested adding in portal-room perms so the same minister that can check perms can make people not be able to use their portal room if, for instance, they're enemied. Or even simpler; if you're enemied, you can't enter/leave through the aetherways.

I don't like sap/demesne/disloyalty, no ma'am! Was fun to inquisition Alacardael, though :P
Enyalida2012-04-04 00:46:35
I hate that I have to resort to stupid tricks to beat decent systems. Good thing there were only like two and since Wobou's gone, the only one left is 'limited' to Mag.
Unknown2012-04-04 01:01:35
:(
Lilian2012-04-04 01:06:10
Awww, I love your system, Iasmos.
Enyalida2012-04-04 01:10:28
Sorry, I meant good in the face of sap! I really don't like sap because it's either totally OP broken or totally useless broken, all depending on system code strength.
Near2012-04-04 01:17:51
It's okay, just curious what I was supposed to do in that situation.
Enyalida2012-04-04 01:25:13
Oh, I was talking about using absinthe to drunkify someone to kill them! It's really cheesy and gimmicky, and I hate doing it.

Sounds great, let's build a guild around that.

I'm not too happy about that one.

I'm good in the face of sap... erm...
Rivius2012-04-04 14:18:23
A lot better nowadays!

Don't let Enyalida fool you though. She's the master sapper.

She is.

And now for something completely different:

RE: Hallifax

My concern is that we will decide rather than embracing the openness of Hallifax to faceroll them into oblivion. I have no idea where any orgs stand but that is what I suspect will happen in the end. Checking in on my alts, I'm not entirely sure how anyone feels about it.

Also does this mean I can take my drunken Templar into Halli? :D
Lehki2012-04-04 15:50:09
Re-doing almost all of my auto-bashing stuff AGAIN, since now pretty much everything but targeting and starting it is handled by stratagem repeat now. Weeeeeee?
