It only ever happens to artifacts received from presents, and generally within 12-24 hours of receiving them, not artifacts purchased through normal means or ones that you've had for a long time. There's no need to be concerned, generally. If I notice one disappear, you'll probably have it back before you notice it's gone.

That's the thing though. It happened a bit back and I did issue myself, with no luck. I'll try again though.
