Back to Common Grounds.

So what was this whole Skeleton Hearth thing anyway, or is that dredging up bad memories? :P

Ushaara:

Guess I really have jumped in during Season 8 without watching reruns of the earlier ones! :D

Oh well, I'm a dreamer!

Edit: Poor idea for having some means for orgs to offer tribute to the 'orgs of fortune' will never see the light of day, sob sob!

Don't let the excuses get you down! They're the same as those from earlier seasons.

It was a multi-org (most/all sides) clan that unfortunately turned nasty due to IC events/fighting.

I believe it was around the collapse of that clan that other mostly single-org only clans started popping up.

Honestly, all I'm hearing from the Halli/Seren side is how I'm suppose to enjoy this game. From Ushaara telling me it's for the good of everyone for EA to break up, to Talan's 'you should feel dumb because you can't beat our zerg', it's a lot of subjective conjuring about how this game is to be played and enjoyed. I have no desire to play the game just because someone who has literally done nothing but whine about his org since he started playing decided to make a drastic change and convinced his org to do it too.

From what I can tell, Celest and Hallifax have the largest populations consistently around at any given point, which is most definitely good for an org. I know Hallifax recently also had an amazing addition of someone who can't help but care and lead which they have benefited from immensely as well. Honestly, the situation is reminiscent about when Glomdoring started its upswing. A lot of inexperienced people with great intentions got buffered with some experienced people and started doing well. That's where people started calling us 'the zerg' because we would consistently have numbers and manage to win things.

Now we have the experiance and not the numbers and we still manage to win things. I really haven't been majorly involved in a fight with Hallifax since their declaration, but I do know that Malarious, , Alacardael, Veyrzhul and myself fought against Solanis, Sondayga, Eoroi, Aerys, Barrin, Lleuke, Rauhaur and one or two more I'm forgetting just recently (2 orgs vs 1, but similar numbers) and won, should we 'not feel good about that'

Some very subjective assertments are being made

If only Lusternia had a limitless number of orgs/players so you guys could find new more willing/able people to fight against that you so clearly need.

You totally missed the point
Unknown2012-04-22 23:11:18
Damn it, Serenwilde. Why must you be a sprawling morass of disinterested people ~~
Turnus2012-04-22 23:13:50
You totally missed everybody else's point. Enjoy the game how you want, but its not necessarily how we want.

Dismissing our opinion as whining doesn't make it less valid. It just reinforces the "yeah whatever, have fun, I'll just not get involved" mentality.

Ushaara:

Re: Fair fights? I think most people would agree that smaller scale fights are usually more fun for all involved, rather than the "Oh crap, I'm being targetted! And I'm dead," types that group fights invariably turn into.

In the interests of prodding people toward more enjoyable, smaller scale fights, here are some handy 'people who turn up to fight' aka. 'hint hint' tables! You get a ? if I haven't seen you in a group fight in a while, or if you're newish to deathsight! And can be sure I'm forgetting couple of people. :)

Celest = { Malicia, Nydekion, Inagin, Draylor, Kelly, Azula, Near, Yurika(?), Neos(?), Xena(?), Ryboi(?) }
Serenwilde = { Enyalida, Lehki, Rivius, Hiriako, Turnus, Lothringen, Raeri, Sondayga, Nicholo, Elaradria(?) }
Glomdoring = { Sidd, Vadi, Xynthin, Celina, Malarious, Calesta, Elana, Svorai, Tacita, Naia(?) }
Hallifax = { Morbo, Shedrin, Ushaara, Aeden, Tulemrah, Daedalion, Lawliet, Talan, Eritheyl(?), Saleo(?), Drae(?) }
Magnagora = { Thalkros, Munsia, Revan, Llandros, Arcanis, Silvanus, Ixion(?), Marie(?), well they're not down and out yet! }
Gaudiguch = { Shuyin, Viynain, Haiden(?), Naralis(?), Svana(?) ummm... Reality, Ectoplasm, Transfix, Drunkenness, Badluck, GreyWhispers, :P }

Number wise?

#Celest = 7-11
#Serenwilde = 9-10
#Glomdoring = 9-10
#Hallifax = 8-11
#Magnagora = 6-8
#Gaudiguch = 4-5 + OPness! :P

Current setup?

#Equinox vs #Other: 20-25 vs. 9 or 11 or 8

Yes, that last is of course exaggerated, but that's what -could- be possible if you got everyone together.

As for raiders, each org seems to have about 2 or 3 people who would raid (semi-)regularly.

It's no secret that Hallifax split from IronHart alliance in bid to shake up current alliances. People want fair fights? Personally, I think most orgs can afford to drop their alliances. Certainly the first four in list there! Add a bit of ooc restraint (big ask, yes :P) and game could be whole lot more enjoyable for every org and everyone!

Quite a few people are missing from all those list sans Gaudiguch.
Sojiro:

Whoa whoa, let's not exaggerate, Gaudiguch fields two, the rest are a stretch.

It's just an awesome two, and I like that our inherent value is not even measured in our numbers, but our skills.

.... :(

Edit:

I thought I shouldn't spell this out, but I will. (Un)fortunately, there is literally (near) zero IC reason for Equinox to split up, only OOC ones. So if you guys broke up hoping that Equinox would do the same, you might have been expecting too much. Might need to tackle that particular...issue differently.

Remember, you count for 10 people, Viy for 5+ depending on his class. So 15+ people for Gaudi.

First off, I didn't dismiss any opinion as 'whining,' Second, I didn't say you were wrong in your opinions

Iasmos is rubbing off on you and that's quite sad.

Subjective conjuring on how we should feel about the game is trying to dictate our opinions...instead of just letting us have our opinions. Trying to tell us that we should feel bad because we are sticking in an alliance while you guys are all trying shake things is just that, conjuring. I don't care if you guys want to separate from your alliance and fight independently, I don't care that you want to play the game how you want to play it, just stop trying to sit here and tell me how to play it. That's my point (the one you just tried to throw on to me)
Unknown2012-04-22 23:26:35
The funny part is that you tell us how to play the game all the time.

And, I'm not rubbing off on anyone. We happen to agree for good reasons.

I actually don't, which is why it's really funny you say so. You complain about stuff, I give suggestions.
Unknown2012-04-22 23:37:28
You really seem to not like the things I do, and you tell me so, and by doing that, you're telling me I should not do those things because you don't like them.

Ironically, I started doing more of these things because you're absolutely right about it being just a game. We can play it however we enjoy it, as far as the mechanics allow us.
Unknown2012-04-22 23:42:16
Wow, peaked in for just a moment. Back to just lurking the technical categories.

You are absolutely right, but when you bitch and whine and complain and moan, but you do it yourself, you lose the ability to be taken seriously. I've not told you once a single thing to do, I've given you suggestions on how not to take things too personally, but I'm glad you enjoy the game more now due to my suggestions.
Unknown2012-04-22 23:48:04
Yup. I'm done whining, moving on to defiling. I'm a new man now.
Unknown2012-04-23 01:09:32
Because defiling then running is "fun" eh? :P

Only when you've spent a while complaining about Urazial doing it, just to pick up the habit yourself when he's gone.
Unknown2012-04-23 01:39:30
Depending on how many show up, I'm happy to give you a fight. I have done so several times.

Sometimes, it's meant simply as a distraction, which is something we learned from you.

As for the high road, no one takes it, ever. Something else we've learned is that being the nobler one gets you nowhere. If anyone thinks he's the better man, he's mistaken.
Enyalida2012-04-23 02:06:25
Thread was being constructive there for a while.
