Why are you doing this to me? I hate these dolls (ok, Amethyst was adorable by itself, but once Diamond came out my reaction changed to "aw hell no") but I'm going to keep buying them because I'm a completionist. Having our "set" be of a bunch of machines no one cares about makes no sense to me, when we have actual, interesting people who have personalities, like the Master Artists or Senior Researchers, that they could be of instead. I would rather gladly throw my dingbats at Jeremiah for something like a Linira Cloudwalker doll (and she's my least favorite Master Artist, even!), as opposed to begrudgingly forking them over for a different color Generator. :(

Ok, I came up with an idea that I liked while talking about the doll problem on the facebook group, so I'll put it here, too.

Interrupt the set! Putting them out there all in a row seems like it's tedious, since I get the impression that they're kind of hard to come up with good ideas for over and over again. So, while still intending to have all six eventually (as I assume the only reason they're continuing to be released is because the set "must" be completed), release different Hallifaxian dolls in between them.

I'm not crazy about the Generator set, but my two biggest problems with them are 1) having to wait for all six of these things to come out before any of Hallifax's actual interesting people can get dolls, and 2) the reactions seem kind of forced. So if they weren't just being released all in a row, yay there are other things, and it leaves more time to come up with ideas for the Generators beyond "it is this gemstone, and I guess it likes to flirt with people, and stuff." (give them different personalities please, they don't all need to be silly and flirty)

Apparently! Elana gave one to Varen a little while ago, which is where Morkarion got the idea from. Saw Doman die to one he was given yesterday or the day before. Moral of the story - everyone is a jerk.

Someone who's been affected by that should BUG it to see if it's something that should be able to bypass peaced rooms. And as a bug it probably shouldn't be worked out here.

Words cannot describe how weird I feel saying this, but... I am suddenly regretting the fact that the Shevat and Windwhisper families are related. Why did the person I would've liked Irillia to marry have to turn out to be her cousin? :( I don't usually mind when awesome people are related to her, but this was a bit disappointing.

You tell Dys Mzithrei, "Ah well I can't really say I'm sorry for who it went to. To be enemied to my Lord's order means she did something to deserve it. Pity really, there was something about Gaudiguch that appealed, maybe it was the copious amounts of alcohol available.."

Dys tells you, "Probably. Who knows with the ways of the Divine? Gaudiguch is a lovely place but we do tend to frown on unwilling experimental subjects. It's not too tough to get volunteers, some people will try anything."

You tell Dys Mzithrei, "Well it didn't kill her did it? I fail to see the harm."

Dys tells you, "The burrowing into her brain would kill her, if she were weaker. Anyway, I've made a note that any fine should be relatively small if you ask for one. Maybe some flowers and a nice note."

You tell Dys Mzithrei, "I'll send her a bunch of grapes. And perhaps it may knock some sense into her while it's there, she must have been rather insane already to provoke the wrath of Lord Morgfyre."

Dys tells you, "I'm sure that would help soothe the pain. I must rest for now, so take care with your experiments."

Dropping that thing at the Plex and waiting to see which curious person would be first to pick it up was always good for a laugh.

Good to find out who has Acquisitio left perma on.
