The Great Hunt itself isn't the problem for me, it's the people making <60 alts, and purposely dying over and over once they hit level 59 or 60, and just staying there as a soul to lose experience to stay in to 1-60 bracket, then once the Great Hunt is over, you never hear from them again. If you look at the past 2? Great Hunts with the 3 brackets, and see the winners from the 1-60 brackets, you notice that most of them are never heard from afterwards.
Do Great Hunt rewards qualify as credits from an OOC source? Because if they're just transferring the credits to their mains afterwards, that should definitely be issuable as abuse. That's really counter-productive to the whole spirit of the incentive, imo.

This could be solved by making the credits bound.
Jack2011-07-30 01:49:19
Christ, I missed that post entirely. Yeah that's the obvious solution, alright. Isn't that why bound credits were introduced in the first place (in lieu of neocredits), to deflect scenarios such as this?

Borderline ooc on CT and your constant accidentally-on-purpose mistells everywhere need to stop.

Oh please tell me who this is so I may mock them. Then issue them.

Yes, yes they do. According to Eventru, even ascension event credits are OOC.
Talan2011-07-30 04:37:58
Definitely more than one person, both today, and lately in general, on both accounts. Just one time too many, sorry.

He bought second tradeskill as an ephemeral power.
Which means he spent 70 million essence and when the time runs out, he loses it... until he pays another 70 million.
They also do not offer refunds or switch it to supernumerary when you buy the wrong one.
Ilyarin2011-07-30 23:12:14
^ This.
Ssaliss2011-07-30 23:16:23
Hmm. If it were me, I'd try an ISSUE ME, if you haven't already. 70m is far from a drop in the bucket, after all... for most of us.
Ilyarin2011-07-30 23:18:15
I tried that, and sadly was told it wasn't something they were going to fix. I'm not really sure why.

Won't do anything. They've rejected fixing multi-million mistakes before, so that's the policy.
Ytran2011-07-30 23:22:26
There should really be a way to turn Ephemeral powers into Supernumerary powers, assuming sufficient weight. :|

I think (not positive on this) that it was brought up as an idea not long after the demigod overhaul and subsequently denied.
I think.
