There've been hurricanes in Lusternia before.
Mind you, I doubt they'd occur naturally in the Basin of Life. Not enough open water, really. Though they do pop up in the southern caribbean from time to time, so I suppose it's possible.
(They normally start off as cyclones way east, off the coast of Africa, and generally drift across the atlantic, slowly building into depressions before they reach the warmer, shallower regions near the west indies and Florida - which is where they quickly build into the swirling behemoths you're seeing right now).
Tangentially, I hope all you new englanders stocked up on flashlights, water batteries and alphabet soup!

The basin of life could have a hurricane. If something so small as Lake Huron can pop up an extratropical cyclone, I see no reason that the Inner Sea couldn't. Take note that the Mediterranean has also produced cyclonic storms (albeit cold core polar-low style storms)!
Although I suppose I am making a few assumptions about the size of the basin of life. It is supposedly a third of the world, but that might just be -land- on the planet as opposed to the whole of the planet.

If they wanted to do that, they had a simple option.
Give me control of the Gnafia.

Apparently the max price for credits on the market is hardcoded to 65000. I give it a week.

Wouldn't a "natural" hurricane be possible if it came from the ocean surrounding the Basins, as hinted in this map.
http://www.lusternia.com/map/basin-of-life-graphic-map
I mean, the Basin can't be much larger than Australia, if that--maybe it is New England (or England/France) sized. (I don't know what scale it's at). I think a large hurricane might be the size of the entire basin.

From what I remember, that picture is deceptively proportioned. It is mentioned somewhere (Elder Histories, I believe) that the Basin of Life encompasses approximately 1/3 of Lusternia's land surface. Assuming an Earth-sized sized planet with a similar land:ocean ratio, that would be about the size of the Asian continent. Of course, Lusternia could easily be Pluto sized and we'd never know, but the point is that the Basin is quite a bit bigger than the map makes it seem.

Getting hit by ankastra, malarious, and neal for like 500 a combo, smiling and going to hit my assault button again, then suddenly oothai->blackout->dead in about a second and a half
I need to figure out when to run in group fights/against monks in general.

My strategy:
don't stop moving until you're ready to fling Soulless, and then stay the minimum of time, i.e. about 10 seconds.

3 on 1, don't stand there. At least, not against quality combatants. That's when you need to get another person or two as backup at least.

I wrote it in notepad, checked it for spelling errors, and posted it, and then re-reading it for the fifty billionth time I noticed I kind of lost my train of thought on THE VERY LAST SENTENCE and wrote it all silly.
Don't write/proofread newsposts when you've only been awake for 30 minutes I guess.

I feel like the new browser extensions and website logins are a healthy step towards even more robust ways to interact with news and other text files without working directly through a logged-in character. An editor can't be that far off - having one built by IRE could go a long way towards cutting down on errors and allowing for quick edits.

Eww, no. Lets not do that. Imagine how much trouble someone could cause.

I doubt we'll see the ability to edit posted news posts for players.
