/wrist. Lusternia is more addictive than crack. It's screwing over my work ethic. whip.gif

And damn it, level 82 and watching a level 60 Nekotai screw me over in terms of hunting by taking on twice what I do AND twice as fast...
I hate Bard hunting. explode.gif

Items are always targettable by emotes. (Which is why it's annoying that furniture isn't.)

But partially targettable? Most items need you to type the entire name, but these vials enjoy being targeted by "a" or "an".

We definitely are squishy! But monks are an often complained about broken outlier in most things. The damage shift should increasingly help even the odds a little bit as you level more and your critical rate improves however.

That said, bashing usually comes down to surviving the incoming damage of a given fight. Monks have some decent defensive options on top of their extremely potent damage output, and their acceptable racial options also lend themselves to "tougher" races than bards, who have to worry about their charisma.

Again, as you get to demigod, the racial issue becomes lessened, as you can often compensate (and then some!) for low constitution scores (take a look at Ardmore's health totals as a faeling sometime).

Long story short, generally speaking you're going to be outperformed like that for a while in straight hunting. But you're a bard, you're the best archetype for general influencing out there. And like any archetype, you can take steps to make yourself more durable- ecology and glamours both have a few defensive tricks of varying potency, you should definitely have beast bodyguard running at all times, you should have a life blessing running, and whenever possible take advantage of hero fetes, Urlach thrones, and any other odd thing that might increase your health. (Like, join an order, influence godrealm denizens with your bardliness, and keep refreshing those blessings!)

Unlike combat, bashing is fairly straightforward, and better rewards a defensive mindset (compared to combat).

I always found lower level mage bashing > low level warrior bashing. Monks are absolutely amazing at any level for bashing, just squishier than warriors. I've been known to leeroy jenkins krokani, and the equivalent level warrior can tank them all. At demigod it pretty much evens out, it just varies where the strengths are. Mages/guardians/bards generally do well with influencing, depending on races. I get really frustrated as an aslaran mage that people like Azula and Qoivhae can zoom right past me in terms of influencing, but if I went rune mage, aslaran's where it's at. (or faeling). I also remember the low health associated with merian, which is why I switched. Just rambling now...

but I'm still frustrated at how sloooow I influence. I should just suck it up and get a cameo.

So anyone who ever wanted to be Cuirr Arrane but didn't think it would ever be possible and so left the Spiritsingers, this is the time to start changing your loyalties. I've finally posted my resignation, even though I haven't convinced anyone to contest yet. I figured this would feel like a big deal but it really doesn't.

This lag exists. Please, at least, acknowledge the fact.

I felt that hit too - was hunting wolves. Then Elana spoke on the aether and said that was a "good timing for that spike"

It's the only pattern in that category that has been available for a long time.

There was "moonshine" for a while, but it was removed for unspecified reasons that I can't recall.

Before the Megalith of Doom.
Rising up from cracks in the floor, the Megalith of Doom towers above everything here, polluting the air with its foul fumes. There are 30 Ur'Guard Grand Marshals here. There are 10 illithoid reavers here. There are 2 wights here. A burning pentacle rests within a depressed alcove, amidst a maelstrom of blue fire. Fain, of the Red Masque stands here surrounded by a crimson miasma of wailing souls. He wields a sleek katana forged of blackened steel and wreathed in flames with both hands.
You see exits leading southeast and southwest.

Twisting blue flames, tinged with red, erupt from a war shrine of Raezon as Thalkros enters, sucking him into a terrifying vortex which disappears abruptly with a flash of light.

You blink.

You bow respectfully to Fain.

Fain, of the Red Masque says, "Greetings, mortal."

You say, "Greetings Great Lord."

Fain, of the Red Masque says, "Will you not kneel before Me?"

You kneel before Fain, swearing your allegiance to Him.

Your vision blurs and swims as tangible waves of malevolence project from Fain's ghastly visage.

Fain, of the Red Masque says, "Good, rise and wait."

This past week has been -wow- in Lusternia.

And why do I feel like I just placed my character before a speeding bullet train? Like those people that just realize that things/life aren't/isn't really worth it and just jump off the platform.

Then, in doing so, they cause inconvenience to everyone trying to head to work that day... behead.gif

I'm so glad that I don't have any of -his- problems in real life... Maybe it's time for less Lusty and more training --must get the perfect abs before dying--...

Lusternian politics is an excellent training ground for real-life problems.
