This homestruck has been the new "post something about the guy above you" thing for a while now. Only it leaks to every thread.

What's amusing is when the people who spam it everywhere tell other people, "I don't get why you're so into XYZ". In threads devoted specifically to that other subject!

Don't worry. It's not the end of the world for you or the guild. The end of an era, maybe, but positions shift about often enough. I'm on my third tour of duty.

Oh, don't misunderstand. I forced someone to contest me, with a lot of arm-twisting and threatening to resign if no one contested. (Didn't just outright resign because I wanted to persuade someone they could be my successor by promising to be around to help her adjust, and so we'd have someone to do the job in the meanwhile.) I'm staying on for a while as a secretary to smooth the transition, just as I stayed as Culture aide for a while after quitting that position. Eventually I'll be able to quit my two secretary positions as well.

I haven't watched any of the major long plays yet--gonna catch up on the Lendren catalog and some other of the larger ones.

But why, out of all the short plays I've seen, the one I remember the most is Krellan's parody of the pop-song Billionaire .

The state of the Master Spheres on Continuum makes me cry tears of blood IRL gais.

It's at the Glomdoring Stage, not submitted to the world. Each stage has their own set of plays not submitted for formal prestige review. I've been going around and watching them from time to time.

I enjoyed most of all at Glomdoring stage a solo violinist's recordings, and was kind of saddened when I found out she no longer existed after watching all her performances and then doing an honours.

I really enjoy playing at certain times of the day, but often enough it seems that either everyone is occupied, or offline, and I can't find any enjoyable interaction. Not a good thing or a bad thing, since it keeps me from getting entirely sucked into Lusternia and ignoring my responsibilities (or my friends on other games), but it feels especially prominent at times.

I've repeatedly pointed out how to fix it. At this point, I think it's just sheer stuborness.

I am extremely pleased by the fact that reading GEB tonight pointed me in exactly the right direction to take my book thing on paradigmatics. The Symbolic vs. Substrate distinction from the AI section is a delightful isomorphism for my musings on Dreaming vs. Material, and will make it easy and fun to derive the Law of Sympathy from first principles instead of just assuming it as an axiom!
