Kiradawea:
The dig spell can tell you that as well. If there's something below, you get a mention about digging up treasure. If not, you just get a scattering of mud.

Crystalspires decay too fast. :(

I thought they didn't decay if you made regular use of them?
Ytran2011-12-28 06:30:26
They don't, but if you can't log in for a while it can come pretty quickly. Granted, if I understand how it works exactly, you have anywhere from 12-25 RL days before it disappears, depending on at what point in the IC year you've last used it, so it's not going to happen overnight, but still.
Unknown2011-12-28 08:16:24
That's exactly like how bonded totems work, heh. It's even worse for unbonded totems, which revert no matter what.
Lendren2011-12-28 14:25:57
You lose a lot more when you lose a spire, though.
Kiradawea2011-12-28 15:38:42
It decays in 12 days. If you use it, the decay time reverts. And when you lose it you can lose up towards 100 stored power. It also takes 10 of each charged gem and 10 power to make. You're also unlikely to use it much as all it does is provide you with power for your personal reserves, but only 5 motes a day.
Lawliet2011-12-28 15:52:53
You totally just reminded me to use my spire, was getting close to decaying, too :P
And, annoyingly, you only get that 5% if it's already at 90% or above, so if you don't put in a huge investment it's pretty useless. Paffle.

I'm driving myself crazy noticing all the 413's everywhere already, and now I just went and got ad 143, created at 14:03. aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
*stuffs you back in your box*

Spire and Fleshmound are kind of meh, spire more then fleshmound, tbh. I think there are a few reports trying to go through to make them useful, as they generally aren't. Fleshmound definitely seems like a liability. You get summoned on death back to a supermob room... where the supermob may hit you with its room attack, not to mention the large enemy group that may be standing there.
EDIT: Also, is new weather coming out perhaps?!?! Nice big weather based event I smell brewiiiiing.

At least you get free power from Spire. You can dump reserves into it and then draw dross.
Sylphas2011-12-29 00:10:51
Just loiter at the aetherplex and I'll probably randomly energylink my entire reserves into you one day, since there's no reason to sit on 105% reserves when I'm dormant and have a powerplex jewel.

Bugging a bug that was actually the result of an ingame alias. Oh the shame...

Things I learned today...don't log off while flying on a magic carpet.

Many a non-trill Aeromancer has learned "don't log out while flying" the hard way. Namely, by crashing headfirst into the Matrix.
Ytran2011-12-31 01:24:33
Pretty sure divebombing the Matrix is a crime.
Kiradawea2011-12-31 01:27:57
What is it with people and not understanding that during Christmas, people just don't want to play Lusternia.

It wasn't the CALL one, was it? That one gets bugged fairly regularly. I assume one of the major systems uses it.
Unknown2011-12-31 03:51:40
Damn you nonexistent lag again.
Diamondais2012-01-01 23:13:52
Gonna try this coming back thing one more time.
