Back in the very early days, some guy who's name started with F was the Treasurer of Magnagora and he up and left with all the commodities I think. It's been too long, so I don't remember the details. Also, I think Celest had a trademaster or somebody that stole all of the gold/credits from their cartel.

The sting was taken out of the whole Furloch thing's tail by the fact it was roleplayed out, though. He was Daganev's apprentice/servant in a twisted parody of the Tae-Bollikin protective dynamic, and when he finally had enough abuse he went berserk.

Nikua is still infamous for rage-quitting Serenwilde in the early days when he was Marshall.

After ostracizing the three guild leaders, of course.

And stealing used to be okay if it was done right. I know Yrael had a legendary reputation as a thief, but even he would give things back if he ended up with something really special or rare. Some times.

Our first "big" crime was mutton-gate that resulted in a shrubbing--if anyone knows what I'm talking about!

Stories like the ones in the OP make me hopeful for what MMOs are turning into. I hope that in the next few years, we get a graphical, player driven MMO like Lusternia. Like Second Life, with a point to it. The possibilities are mind-boggling.

The insane ranting in the Mag v Seren thing was also hilarious.

Nekotai was once cleared of gold and credits and then that person left the guild and org. After a long-standing stint as a rogue, she later was accepted into the city of chaos. Don't believe the admin intervened from what I can recall... though a few players stepped up and donated their personal credits to the guild's coffers. I will always remember that act of benevolence.

That was all paid off (ages and ages and ages ago). Talkan didn't leave cause he suddenly got a cubix. He left after getting VA, when he'd had enough of being pushed around, and got VA um, like a rl year after the cubix incident. Maybe more than that. Not sure why he couldn't have just high fived the keyboard though.

And the annabelle thing. That cost me something like 80 lessons when I bought credits to give to someone else as a gift - and I had to pay the price for that ! I hope she burns in heeeelll

I remember the incident where Zalana stole everything out of Anisu's aether shop, because there was a scuffle, she died, and then she morphed in the stockroom and nabbed everything. Daevos told her to keep all the construct stuff but returned some of the other items. She got some pretty wicked forum backlash for that.

Furloch's was pretty funny and honestly didn't hurt us much. I never knew who the mutton glutton was exactly, but I recall chuckling about it.

Magnagora, despite putting the seal or whatever in the Megalith after the goat killings, has a huge propensity to answer all quest conundrums with,"PUT IT IN THE NEXUS!"
