Forren was basically the nicest guy in the world, but a total badass in combat. Imagine Noola and Thoros had a baby.

EDIT: Oh man, I searched some old combat logs to refresh my memory of The Forren, and it brought old wounds to the fore. Jumped at the higher planar fulcrux! Pre-nerf telepathy heartbursting me to hell! nooOOoooOOooo
Enyalida2011-07-13 04:37:22
Don't really know Noola (at all) or Thoros (very much) dunno.gif

This.
Also, he was an Aquamancer. More when I remember.

Forren was a steamroller with a meld.
Shiri2011-07-13 06:02:05
I'd use Daevos/Catarin/Nejii/Xenthos for the same reason Jack excluded Malicia, Thoros was Celestian for a while, whereas Daevos was a prominent early leader.

Although, Forren would be fine, but I always thought of him more as the Aqua GC.
Unknown2011-07-13 15:42:49
How much would I have to bribe you to make Phoebus the leader of Hallifax? smirk.gif Joking. Of course. (call me sometime.)

Though I AM the city's Steward... -flutter-

Ok ok I'll stoppp. Sylandra was my favorite too, though. I got nothin' against Wuylinfe, but I wouldn't call him iconic. Hmm. We haven't really had any iconic leaders yet. confused.gif You could always take it in a different direction and have the Board of Directors as the "leader", and not necessarily name any of its members. tongue.gif Down with individualism!

Accordant?

Rhysus represented Celest pretty well roleplay-wise, though he did lean towards the racist/zealot side of things. I don't think Celest's had anyone as iconic as Xenthos or Daevos, though.

Rhysus. <3

I think Nydekion or Malicia are pretty archetypal Celestians. I'd have to say Mali though, even though she started in Serenwilde. Its a good narrative. Forren was a brief candle, Catarin maybe, but she wasn't Mali-tier imo.

As much as I love Ixion honestly Daevos was always the true leader of Magnagora, for years. No one else is applicable. I'm not even joking. Ixion will probably agree.

Glomdoring: Of course Xenthos.

Serenwilde: That furry orca rodent (Nejii).

The other two orgs that shouldnt exist: dont care
Enyalida2011-07-13 16:36:17
Thinking over it, we might actually make Gaudi and Halli have their original npc leader people, for now.

Hallifax/Gaudiguch haven't had anyone iconic enough. For Hallifax there was really... Prav, briefly. Gaudiguch... I really don't know.

For Celestians, old-school iconic ones for me would be Sheia, Catarin, Malicia, Raflein, Ekard, Catarin... all had an effect on my characters, so I remember them. Today, Malicia is probably one of the most popular.

Daevos for Magnagora, of course. No contestations there.

For Glomdoring, Kaervas has always come to mind, to be quite honest. He's not around much these days though, but I thought I saw him a little while ago.

Serenwilde I honestly can't comment on.

Kaervas is another person who flitted around a lot. I remember him most as Nihilist GC (which is reaaaally back in the day) and Geomancer GC.
Llesvelt2011-07-13 17:13:43
Obviously, Llesvelt should be the leader of Hallifax deal.gif

I mean, look at how well he embodies all that is Hallifaxian.

---

Okay, that aside, I liked Sylandra the most, as well, so far, but I don't think she was the leader who embodied Hallifaxian ideals the most. That would be Cririk Adom, obviously, but apart from him I am not really sure, and he was not really a player character.

The Authoritarian Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Centralized Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Consolidate Commonwealth of Hallifax?

Edit:

The Collectivist-Authoritarian Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Totalitarian Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Constitutional Commonwealth of Hallifax?

Edit2:

The Technocratic Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Technocratic-Authoritarian Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Unitary Commonwealth of Hallifax?
The Collectivist-Unitary Commonwealth of Hallifax?

The (tentative) verdict:

The Glorious Empire of Magnagora - Emperor Daevos (No contest here.)
The Accordant Commonwealth of Hallifax - Steward Undecided (edit: Make that CHAIRMAN undecided)
The Holy Principality of Celest - Princess Malicia (I heard Rhysus, Forren, and Catarin thrown around, but I know of Malicia in game, so its easier on me.)
The Tribal Conclave of Serenwilde - Seneschal Nejii (No contest.)
The Free Cooperative of Gaudiguch - Emmisary Undecided
The ??? Dominion? of Glomdoring - Marshal Xenthos (No contest.)

I would much appreciate a quick writeup of Daevos, Malicia, Nejji, and Xenthos (race/guild/general personality/popularity)

Also, surely there are some Glom about who could give me a good org name. Pretty please?

Not a Glom, but surely 'Merciless' would be apt? Oh, and Hallifax's head probably should be Chairman instead of Steward?
Unknown2011-07-13 23:14:23
Merciless is hardly good PR. We though of something similar, but didn't feel that it was appropriate for the name of a political state.
Chairman is probably more appropriate. Let's change it.
Arel2011-07-14 01:33:33
I would honestly say Cririk and Scuchidira are probably the best bets to go with for the Halli/Gaudi leaders. As much as I also like Sylandra and Wuylinfe, I wouldn't say either of them were particularly Hallifaxian icons.
