Hey everyone. So I made a character a while ago named Jarael who, as the title states, is a Pyromancer. I had a few questions to ask about things.

CODE
Common Skills         Rank           Pool
-------------         ------------   ------------
Combat                Adept          Melee
Resilience            Adept          Fitness
Discernment           Master         Intellect
Highmagic             Inept          Arcana
Planar                Fabled         Mysticism
Discipline            Virtuoso       Willpower
Environment           Virtuoso       Communion
Influence             Apprentice     Magnetism
Dramatics             Inept          Performance
Arts                  Inept          Finearts
Beastmastery          Inept          Magnetism
Aethercraft           Transcendent   Mysticism

Trade Skills          Rank           Pool
-------------         ------------   ------------
Enchantment           Fabled         Arcana
    Spellcraft

Guild Skills          Rank           Pool
-------------         ------------   ------------
Elementalism          Transcendent   Mysticism
    Pyromancy
Psionics              Mythical       Intellect
    Telekinesis
Illusions             Mythical       Intellect
    Phantasms

Those are his current skills, with Telekinesis and Phantasms up to Forcefield and Phantomsphere respectively. When I first started the character, I thought Aetherships were awesome and went ahead and transed the Aethercraft out and bought a manse/ship that is currently at 8 rooms. From what I remember, it's hullpoints (1400) are on the low end, so I'm not sure if it's usuable or not realistically. It has all modules, minus one turret. If I wanted to aetherhunt, should I use my own ship or try and catch on with a crew on a bigger one?

The next question I had was about race selection. I chose Dracnari at the time because that's what I thought Pyromancers were "supposed" to be, given the specialization of Illuminated Dracnari. As I've come back and started bashing a bit though, it seems like the race has some issues, most notably with the sipping penalty and general lack of tankiness, despite the higher con, outside of volcanic environment. From a purely numbers standpoint, is there a better race? Also, is there a way to make the environment actually volcanic? I tried using a terrain illusion and melding a combusted room just to see, but neither one counted towards the regen requirement.

Finally, I use mudlet, but don't have any credits to buy a system. Are there any public 'starter' type systems for an autosipper and some basic curing? Firstaid is better than anything other IRE games have, but was just curious.

Sorry if these are newbie questions, I just don't remember much about Lusternia aside from it having a massive amount of skills. Thanks!

Most people are going to want a ship with the full 3 turrets.

Dracnari are a good race for Pyromancer, but certainly not the best race. They're certainly one of the more tanky races for a mage. Depending on your level, Human might be able to do better.

Currently no, but envoys report 626 aims to fix it and looks like it might stand a good chance of passing.

I'm not actually sure what races would be a better choice off hand, but there is currently a proposed change in the works to make the volcanic terrain 'ablazed' terrain, which is what pyromancers create. I don't sense an objection to it from the admins.

For Mudlet, I don't actually think there are any old systems you can jury rig into a starter system, because Mudlet is fairly new. I'm equally unsure if there are any high level coders in Gaudi that could quickly whip out something for you.

You can't aetherhunt at all alone, so yeah. You'll want to either gather crew for your ship, or use a org ship. It's good to have more ships for flares (big competitive aetherflying thing), even small ones!

I'll look over races and get back to you on that.

I have coded a system for mudlet that uses the built-in firstaid curing. I haven't done much testing, so I'm not ready to release it to the public, but I wouldn't mind sending it to you to try out. I bought a system for my main, so I only use the firstaid system on my one alt, but it does a pretty good job there. If you're mainly bashing, it should do fine.

Yeah, mainly just trying to bash right now since he is level 59. That would be great, thanks!
