Even after finishing 3, the first game is still my favorite. I prefer the lighter toned space opera theme.
The ending isn't what bothered me about 3. I found the gameplay kinda boring compared to the previous games; it felt like a whole lot of nothing, mostly. I enjoyed exploring worlds in my flubber-powered Mako.
