I'm not sure how this will turn out, but it's something I'd really like to try...
I'd like to be one of four sisters who will take it upon themselves to honour the four seasons while in Glomdoring and the Harbingers (or other guilds, if wanted!). I plan for my character, Aeravira (who has just stepped from the Portal), to have Winter -- her features will be typical Elfen, but her clothing style, instrument, songs, and other forms of art etc, will be winter-themed.
Thus, I'm looking for three more characters to be her sisters -- one for Spring, Summer, and Autumn. They can be new characters or already existing characters -- we all tend to find family when stepping out of the Portal of Fate, after all. Preferably in the 20-30 age range, as Aeravira is 22. We can all eventually bond to form an official family, and we can incorporate more Wyrd into the seasonal themes if wanted.
Please let me know what you think and if you're willing to join!
(And admins please let me know if this is not allowed)
Edit: Also, it would be nice if we leaned more towards natural things and creatures, what with our respect for Nature and all...

This looks like it could be a really fun thing to do, and I wish you luck among the competition of the families already in Glomdoring!

Oh, I'm not looking to challenge any of the existing families... at the moment I don't actually have any plans to extend the family beyond the four sisters. I just think this will be a neat roleplay experience.

Oh, I didn't mean it just if you were competing, but you could easily find potentials snatched up by others!

... I wouldn't mind if people created characters just for -this- roleplay! *nudge nudge*

Still, hope it goes well for you. It would add a really nice touch I think.

If it doesn't work out, Druken (of Inseira) is heavy into the Winter theme, you might sync up nicely, it could be a satisfying Plan B.

He's totally not the only one, but I'll leave that for you to RP it out IG.

Asmodea is so pro-winter/ice. It's insane. But I do love the idea of this roleplay. Come to think of it, I have never seen anyone ask for roleplay before...like this. This could be really cool.

Not like I want to send away someone who is keen to start interesting role-play, but when I read your suggestion I immediately thought of the Spiritsingers, rather than the Harbingers. They have one skill whose effect varies depending on the ig-season, and I've always perceived that the seasons have more impact on their rp than others'. Glomdoring has never really focused on the seasons beyond the fact that winter has long nights (in theory), which we like. I don't know if you've explored the Night Bubble at all, but there actually are four daughters of Night there already representing each of the four seasons. Nyoro, of the summer solstice, actually openly implores people to -not- help Mother Night... something that probably wouldn't fly on prime.
If you want to get really interesting, it would be cool to see the sisters spread out between the communes. Possibly even including the cities - I can see themes of spring in Magnagora (rebirth, renewal in the taint, always striving to surge forward) and fall in Celest (the waning empire, always preparing for a struggle against the dark). Politics might make some of that difficult, but it would definitely be interesting. Good luck!

I agree with Talan, it'd be interesting to see something done with this, but it might be an uphill battle in some ways. Ethereal Serenwilde is basically just a big physical manifestation of the seasons; each quadrant of it is not just always in one season, but entirely shaped by it. There's some lore we have yet to learn about the seasons that explains why they're so closely associated with the Ethereal Serenwilde.
When Lendren was in Lisaera's order, he spent a while trying to find out more about this, wrote a few things based on what he learned, but he also ran up against a dead end at one point -- he asked Lisaera about the origin of the seasons, and she got very upset as if this had touched on very painful memories, and completely shut down on him, suggesting even that he drop the question. I always hoped it would show up in the Elder Wars, but I think we've cycled through a few Lisaeras since then, and the whole question has probably been forgotten.
If I were a Glomdorian trying to build something around the seasons, instead of ignoring Serenwilde's "claim" on them based on their presence in Ethereal Serenwilde, I would probably tackle it head-on. But I've never played a Glomdorian character for any length of time so I might be guaging it wrong. I do hope that whatever tack you take it turns out fun.

You've both given me a bit to think about... I wanted to bring the season sisters to Glomdoring rather than Serenwilde to sort of play on the fact that the Wyrd is drawn from nature (at least in part), and place a bit of focus on that. We can incorporate more Wyrd into it, certainly, focusing on the length of nights and whatnot... even (to avoid Nyoro's problem as Talan mentioned) celebrating Night's way of "hibernation" or "biding time" during the summer when her length of time in the sky is relatively shorter.
In fact, since Aeravira met Druken in the game, I was considering asking a Shadowdancer to even help her become closer to "Winter Night" by creating and/or performing a ritual with her to bind her soul with the winter solstice. This would even change her RP and personality a bit, making her a bit more frosty and calculating (as she's a bit on the Summer side in personality right now, as Valonah and Daem can tell you!).
All in all, it will be a work in progress... I just hope someone's willing to make a joint effort with me.

I'm not sure if there's some bit of lore that addresses this, but mechnically, sunrise and sunset are at the exact same time every day in Lusternia, regardless of season; and the canonical explanations for night and day (Father Sun chasing Mother Night) do not require any kind of solar system model, and in fact, contradict it (particularly the way that the moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise every day regardless of moon phase). So unless there's something somewhere that claims that day length varies, I think you'd be better off assuming it does not. (And furthermore, that that's not why we have seasons -- which brings us back to what I posted about how we actually have no explanation at all in lore for why we have seasons.)

Is it just recommended that I go to Serenwilde then because the RP would fit in better there?

I have a Spiritsinger who's RP was based on spring,(I wanted to put "vernal" in her title, but alas, that doesn't fly in Lusternia.) but all my stuff is gone now.

The "going against the grain" thing can be just as good a stimulus to development as can be fitting within an establishment. So there's no need for you to switch sides to make this work. It's entirely a matter of personal taste: some people's creativity can be inspired by the conflict of going against the grain, while others are inspired more by having a big support base.
One other factor is I think you've got a much better chance of doing this in Glomdoring just because Glomdoring has the kind of position in the game that leaves room for people to do stuff like this. In Serenwilde you'd find it much harder to get people to spare a minute to care. I say this knowing full well that people following this advice just perpetuates that situation -- but we're more than two years into it now, and anyway, it's up to you whether you'd rather pour your energy into trying to push a rock up a hill, or into what you want to do with it once it's up there.
