IIRC, a bunch of the current polearms are 1h. Would this also switch them all to 2hs?

About the shatterheart thing, I'm assuming it'd be purely woundbased ala behead, and not require the conditions the monk version does?

Am liking it lots though!

Never actually forged anything other than a halberd, which was definitely two-handed. Even if some were 1h though, could introduce new patterns such as glaives and pikes.

For ShatterHeart, I was envisioning it as a critical chest swing and requiring the chest pain from PierceChest. Not entirely sure about requiring the sprawled requirement, since monks would have an easier time of it. This is where we'd need the likes of Ixion to run with it for balancing.

*waits patiently to switch specs*

Also, as for ShatterHeart, simply make it work as an exception for the spec and have it act just like Behead/BashBrains, in that it requires a swing and critical wounds. Exceptions like this already exist, from what I understand, in that a Pureblade can get a collapsednerve instantly, where a Blademaster needs a preparatory affliction. (Though I am a nub!)

Tridents, Lances = single handed
Halberds, Bardiches = dual handed

ShatterHeart being a critical chest swing requiring piercechest might be a bit difficult even without sprawled. You'd need critical chest wounds, a specific wound proc to merely set it up, and a way to interrupt curing since a subsequent shatterheart tic would require 1: the PierceChest affliction to have procced in the previous round, so that it isn't cured, since Estarra has mentioned a wish for polearms to be rather slower and more damaging than the other specs, 2: Rebounding to be down, since the power attack looks like it's a jab and cleave is a jab as well, 3: your swing to hit chest rather than arms or head, 4: The chest to be at critical wounds, and 5: the actual shatterheart affliction to proc. Seems more difficult than behead, and behead is already comlained about regularly for taking forever to proc.

Might be better to make it kind of like Execute, only requiring chest pain, critical chest wounds, and sprawled? Unless that's too similar to the Tahtetso or too difficult to pull off. I dunno.

Could also make PierceThroat behead-like and not proccing off of Thrust but using a jab rather than a swing, while making Shatterheart the timed insta. That seems OP though.

(Disclaimer: I don't really know what I'm talking about, just giving my impression)

Love the idea, Ushaara! I'd be all for this spec showing up. My preference was always two-handed weapons. smile.gif
