*snip*
First of, any coder will use GMCP these days, simply because capturing and gagging is a really terrible way to get data. Mudlet actually sticks GMCP some info into a premade table, so you can simply use that as a variable whenever you need it.
Secondly, question is where did Aardwolf get these code thingies? I am going to hazard a guess they may very well have asked some of their players who made these things if they can be included in an official package.
Thirdly, I think if they distribute their 'own' version of Mush, they must have some agreement with creators, unless the license allows them to just do that. I'm sure Estarra could ask the folks at Mudlet for some kind of deal, but I can see why he wouldn't want to. Mudlet is not managed by Lusternia, to start with. Also, client favouritism. It's one thing when the players do it, but another when the admin do so. I can see some people being upset about it.
Honestly, I do think this could be a great community project. And maybe it could be put on the game news, like Vadi's mobile thingie. I see your point on new players, but each game requires you to learn something, and MUDs may be more technical, but there are other ways to lower the entry barrier that could simply become part of the game core. Stuff like the autosipper and autocuring and the wonderful liquidrift.

I remain pretty skeptical about the reported number of players. (Amongst other things.) - The mere fact that TMS ownership and administration is wholly down to Aardwolf is kinda meh for me.
My personal belief is that TMS is dead in the water these days.

Do all the XP bonuses stack? Such as the current promo bonus, divine favors, skill set based ones, and the one from the seal.
Ssaliss2012-08-16 16:45:23
Yep.

So a contrivance can get you to Xion, but can it also get you back to prime from Xion?
Ytran2012-08-17 03:10:05
Yes. They drop you at the Aetherplex.
Sylphas2012-08-17 03:38:27
I use my bubblixes more for getting to the Aetherplex than I do anything else, really.
Kagato2012-08-17 04:10:46
Same, particularly since the aetherbubble that the snowglobe takes you to is a grand total of 4 rooms

Or is it??

Meh, I've been lazy with regards to exploring it. I should take the time to properly look around there at some point.

The snowglobe bubblix leads to a place with a -massive- amount of rooms!
Hint: Roots.

Are there labeled maps of elemental aetherspace anywhere? I am hoping to fly out and find Xion at some point.
Lendren2012-08-17 13:52:25
We had a bunch of maps on the wiki back in the day, but Elryn stopped updating them, no one took over, and then there was a bug that prevented me uploading images which was there for at least a year and may still be there, so whatever's there may help you get to Xion but they may not.
Unknown2012-08-17 21:29:08
Heh, everyone has a contrivance who wants to get there by now I guess. I'll be the only one using an aethership O_o
Enyalida2012-08-17 22:46:48
There is a good map of prime aetherspace, with everything labeled, floating around somewhere. Might be one of Elemental, I think I saw one. I'll look.
Unknown2012-08-17 23:24:55
The one for elemental was good enough for me to figure out where Xion was, but I'm a bit cavalier about piloting.

Want to give me a hint as to where it is? I see elemental aetherspace is divided into an upper right, upper middle, left, center and bottom area on this map:
Daraius2012-08-17 23:39:57
It's in the red blob in the upper left. The one that has a long yellow corridor leading to it. If memory serves...

Ok thanks :)
I notice that my manse is connected to Magnagora but as an aethership it is connected to the Aetherplex. Does this mean that if I dock at a different place, like say an elemental plane, can I still enter/exit to/from Magnagora while my ship is docked there?

No.
