Greleag:
You can do TRANSVERSE ASTRAL at the nexus on any cosmic plane to get to astral. There's a pair of pools you can enter to be sent to Astral on the Moon/Night bubbles. You can also do ASTROGLIDE during wildnodes (or at any time as a astrologer), convince a paradigmatist to put up reality and then enter/exit the room repeatedly, convince a glamourist to weave a manse and then sit inside for 15 minutes, offend a God in such a way that they flick you to Astral, or if all else fails, convince someone to take you up.
Ok I snickered a bit there but seriously tho, thanks.

Fun fact: using ASTROGLIDE gives you the slickness affliction. I am not making this up.

Mainly out of curiosity, and not having a character whose roleplay would allow for testing... If you give someone a vial that's linked to a potion in your liquid rift, can the recipient use it at all? Does the potion come out of your liquid rift or the other guy's?
Also, it is at all viable to have just one vial and rift drain/sip/apply as needed (assuming no PvP)?

Any command denial things would make this a huge pain in the ass.

Unless it's changed, I recall being unable to use another person's vial that's been linked to their rift.
Enyalida2012-08-25 02:08:21
You could get a single artifact vial and do PvE pretty easy with the 5 liquids it'll link to.

The vial remembers what fluid it is linked to and draws from the liquidrift of whoever is holding it.
Enyalida2012-08-25 03:11:26
Hmm, just tested it and that didn't work either. Ailley was unable to sip from my linked fire vial, even with fire in her liquidrift, and nothing else in her inventory linking to that fire potion.

You are limited to consuming no more than 50 lessons per in-game day (once per RL hour) to activate
skillset(s). Exception: Once a game year, if you join a new guild then you can consume up to 200
lessons to activate skillsets.
I though when skillflexing was added, flexing was limited per RL say. Am I misremembering, or was this changed to RL hours at some point and I just didn't notice?
Xenthos2012-08-25 13:12:59
It's always been RL hour.
Apparently it wasn't intended, but by the time they noticed so many people had bought doctoral cords for that reason that they decided to let it stand (it's not really game-breaking and it makes players much, much happier).

I've accumulated enough dingbats for a race hat. The possibilities are endless!
When it comes to illithoids and viscanti, does their bonus to types of influencing speed the rate at which they influence? I ask because if I recall correctly, influencing equilibrium time is based on the charisma stat. I'm not sure how good having a bonus would be if you take an ego battle counter-attack every round... knowing this would influence what race I might change to after picking up a race hat.

The bonus makes it act as if you had a higher charisma for that particular attack type, I'm pretty sure. So, stronger attacks and faster too.
Unknown2012-08-25 23:05:59
I see, that's pretty cool.
I might try doing cavalier before changing, still sort of undecided.
Edit: How long does cavalier's recovery skill last?

If you pick up a pet that costs dingbats, do you still have to feed it regularly? If you go away for awhile, can it starve to death and disappear?

Yes and yes.

How do you raise aethership piloting proficiency? I hear steering and gliding doesn't do it so do you have to sit somewhere and just turn silent running on and off?
Unknown2012-08-26 10:26:26
About how much gold does it cost to get unenemied from an NPC place? Influencing illithoids on my furrikin bard seems to be way better than trying to bash them...
Ssaliss2012-08-26 10:58:31
Depends a bit. I had to pay roughly 100k to get unenemied to Faethorn, so I assume it's around there.

Pretty sure gliding does.
