Awesome. Would a lapel pin fit in that category?
Xiel2012-08-29 23:47:10
The main noun of the pattern is 'pin', so you can make it into whatever you want, really, providing you follow basic design rules.

Semi-related question to those above - can artifact runes be attached to earrings/studs? It seems logical that they can but I've no actual idea one way or the other.
Xenthos2012-08-30 00:03:22
Mail me an earring, I can test for you.
Ytran2012-08-30 00:07:14
Yea, give Xenthos some use for his pliers. >.>
Kagato2012-08-30 01:08:01
Yes runes can, but it is a little bit of a waste since earrings can not be enchanted.
I have a critical strike rune on an earring
(Note: I'd personally like to see earrings become enchantable rather than having to fill any remaining enchantments with brooches after wearing 10 rings and 2 bracelets)

Okay, I have a few questions to which I could not find an answer to simply by browsing the help files.
What in the name of Estarra are curios? Why is everyone hunting, trading or gawking at them? And, most importantly, how can I get my hands on these things?

I just found out there's a Firefox toolbar. So, I'm using it! It's nifty! But, saying that there are 41 people on, but when I click that to pull up the page listing everyone, only 25 people are listed. It's only counting certain people, I assume, but what's the criteria? Why are the missing people missing?
Ssaliss2012-08-30 12:45:52
It counts everyone logged in, but displays whatever you'd see on WHO on Prime. So no off-prime, no gemmed, etc.

Hm well, I'm pretty sure it doesn't show sneaky hidden people, but perhaps it still counts them in the original number?
EDIT: dang, beaten to the punch there. Replying on my phone is slow.

There are a few different types of curios:
Animated and structural curios: These aren't available to be bought anymore (although they could very well make a comeback), so you won't see much trading of these.
Magical curios: These can be broken down into four categories.
- Enchantment curios. These can hold enchantments normally placed on rings etc. and can hold 200 charges.
- Damage resist curios. Adds DMP to certain damage types. Can only have one active at a time though.
- Damage enhancement curios. These add extra damage to certain damage types. Again, one active only.
- Travel curios. Gives you an extra movement on certain terrains. All are active all the time.
Common for all curios is that they're assembled from pieces. To get packages with pieces for the magical curios, you can go to the artifact shop and buy them. The first three types can be bought with credits, and the fourth with gold. You could also try to buy them off of people that already have them, of course, and you'll most likely have to trade to get the curios you want.

Ahh! I wondered if it was a Plane issue or if there were just that many people with gems and so on. I gotta say, I like the old-school version better that listed everyone no matter what (including a God or two occasionally). But I didn't even know that this page existed, so even limited, it's nifty. I like my new toolbar! (insert sadly absent :cheer: smiley here)

Okay, this helps a lot. Thank you!

I've another question: where would I find a place to train figurines in?

There's one at the base of the Black Tower in Glomdoring, first room inside I believe.

Great, thanks!

I can't seem to be able to equip my figurines with minicloaks or helmets. What would the syntax be exactly, and do they need to be in the fightingring or my inventory?
Enyalida2012-08-30 16:05:20
I believe you need a tailor and a forger to actually equip the figurine, but that may be wrong.
They need to be in inventory.

Shulamit2012-08-30 16:21:06
dress figurine with helmet, dress figurine with knuckles, and you don't need the tailor/forger anymore.

Is there a way to see a list of clans deeded to a city/commune?
