So im planning on dropping 50 credits to customize my axe. For the actual new description, do I need to come up with a whole new one or could I build off of the original axes design? Secondly, is the change for the weapon done with the character's knowlege IC? This is kinda important due to Drez's RP.
Enyalida2011-10-26 21:54:13
You can do it however you want, as long as it's still an axe, and handle it however you want. Your character would notice having a different axe, but there is nothing to say that you can't claim to have it forged or have forged it yourself.

BEASTMASTERY - BURROWING
Syntax: BURROW
Your beast can burrow below the ground, if possible. BURROW BELOW will allow you to break through
the surface or dig deeper down. You can dig upwards with BURROW ABOVE. To move horizontally, use
BURROW
.
For Training:
Syntax: BEAST TRAIN BURROW
Type: Body
Trains: 80
Does this burrow the user, or does it only burrow the beast?

It'd be pretty damn useless if it only burrowed the beast, because then you'd have a beast stuck underground :/ Probably designed to be used while mounted.

under what conditions will a fire spread to another room?
Jack2011-10-27 09:03:48
Whenever this guy's around.
Lerad2011-10-27 09:28:45
I think it spreads automatically, in ticks, ala the miasma that we have right now. Not exactly sure, though. Oh, probably also have to be forest environment, maybe? Not sure if roads/urban can catch on fire.
Enyalida2011-10-27 19:32:49
It's on a tic. Interestingly, different fire spreads at different speeds (we think), and some sources of fire in a room just don't spread. Usually no one tests it because lighting things on fire is a non-productive meanie thing to do.

Unless he's airblasting. In which case, he's putting OUT fires.

Hey, don't point out my deficiencies vis-a-vis the complexities of the class. I play scout, for Gog's sake.

Has anyone worked out what the best (most efficient/profitable) way to sell esteem with the new system would be?
Ssaliss2011-10-28 17:19:00
If it's below 10k gold worth, I think it'd be cheaper to just transfer from one figurine to the next (assuming a figurine costs 500 gold). Above, sell an imbued figurine.
Unknown2011-10-28 17:31:46
If a figurine takes 5 silver, 5 gold, 5 platinum, 5 marble, and 1 powerstone to make, it's way more than 500 gold to make one.
Ssaliss2011-10-28 17:51:20
If we boost it to 2000, the break-even point would be esteem worth 40k.

Yeah, when I first read about this, I was still thinking figurine comms hadn't changed. They were just 1 marble, 1 gold, and 1 powerstone before this.
It's not to be unexpected, however. When they hiked up the comm cost on all the crafting items to require more comms, we were told it was because there were too many comms in circulation and the admin was worried someone would use them to make thousands and thousands of objects, which me and other people thought rather silly. Certainly people have more control than that!
But, well. We know what happened, and we know this is how they like to handle it.
I think going back to the 1 marble 1 gold 1 powerstone is fine so long as figurines always are destroyed when offered. Adding more metal costs to things is silly. When are we going to get more use for all the rope comms?
Unknown2011-10-28 19:34:59
If you think 5 is bad, I'd had three blank ones made when the comms were still 10 instead of 5. Gah!
Ssaliss2011-10-28 22:36:44
Tinkering has a new ability: RepairMiniatures.
Anyone got an AB of that one? Does it cost gold, or power, or something else?
Unknown2011-10-29 03:00:55
I'm going to wait whether Estarra approves the idea of buying esteem from shops a la keg refills. Right now, though, I'm selling it directly at 9 gold per unit.
