Back to Common Grounds.

Phoebus:

Isn't she Sister Lake?

She's Sister Lake in the same way that some Seren/Glom people will refer to Sister Moon or Sister Night... acknowledging a great spirit, but not giving equal status to our own great spirit of choice. RP thing.
Edit: Anyway Rivius, Tolborolla.

Or is she.

Enyalida:

It's an aspect.

Avatar would be closer. Aspect would imply relation to the animal spirit (aspects of Hart/Crow), as opposed to Avatars of Moon/Night, iirc.

(Relational noun) of (freshwater body of water)

Mother of Pond.

I thought Pond was the Mother of River. Who is this Mother of Pond? Do I need to rewatch the whole season?! :/

:)

I was indeed thinking of this series when I made the post.

I always thought the Daughter of Rivers corresponded to the Ladies of Moon or Daughters of Night. Either way, doing the prophecy quest does not give you a peek at Sister Lake.

Something I've been curious about- if someone is a changeling, and they are currently their family's race, do they count in the "good breeding" bonus, or does being a changeling disqualify them from said gain? If the latter, is it possible to have a changeling family? Most expensive family RP ever.

Changeling isn't an actual race anymore so than an archlich is, for mechanical purposes. I'm sure you could make all sorts of arguments IC, but it doesn't affect honour and such. Even if it did, you could take off your cameo and put it in a pack, and you wouldn't have "changeling" tagged to you anymore.

I'm pretty sure it can't be a family race either, though I can't say that I've tried.

I considered that for Starfalls, actually, but I don't think it's possible.

So the Knowledge seal quiz,

From someone who knows very little in terms of overall lore... How would one go about to study for the Quiz?

-Read Elderwars/Vernal wars/such books
-Read Events posts.

What else would be good to read so I don't feel stupid looking at the questions, and maybe even get a correct answer?

Explore the Aetherbubbles.
Ushaara2011-12-30 16:02:15
Eventru had at least one (maybe a couple, can't really remember) of questy related questions back in the 'Let's entertain Estarra!' quiz.
E.g., "What's the name of the elixir used by the kepheran queens?" Wording is off, but along those lines anyway. Not sure if that would be detailed in Events posts, but knowing that sort of more obscure information can boost your score.

I would suggest reading the following.

  • Read the Entire History on the website (or in the in-game books).
  • Read all of the Event Posts.
  • Explore, Quest, and Participate. There's a lot of hidden lore in some of the major quests, so participating in them (or in events) will give you more knowledge.

Quizzes tend to cover anything and everything Lusternia-related. Knowing quest mechanics is good, and can give you that extra edge, but most of the questions come from the histories (Elder, Vernal and Taint Wars) and events posts.

A lot of things also come from backstory/area story lines - ie, the name of the project for the Arysian Isles, that created the Gorgogs (or for that matter, the names of the various Imperial Projects and what occurred in them, their purpose and outcome - in no particular order, Touchstone, Outreach, Soulforge, Eternity, Cosmic Hope, and Dawning Hope all come to mind - I think there's more, but I know for sure those are available). Read the documents you find in quests - Duum has a few notes, some of which mention characters of some relation to an existing org, family-wise. Others mention the names of Empresses and Emperors, in newer areas.

Particularly, I'd suggest paying attention to "newer" quests - laden with history, they also are prime picking grounds for new quizzes.

Don't forget naming all of the Kepheran Queens/Kings. With correct spelling. In 15 seconds or less.

Does anybody not have that one sitting in a word doc waiting to be C/P'ed?

Good point. We'll have to make them do it in reverse numerical order based on the sum of the alpha-numeric value of their names.

Can give them an extra 5 seconds for that, not everyone is as good as math as Raezon!
