Is influence/debate balance affected by racial balance/equilibrium bonuses/maluses, or is it entirely Charisma based?

Charisma based, iirc. Though my tae'dae always felt slower than faelings, it might just be that last two or so points of cha making the difference (and lag!)

Where is the area called Blood Fist? Is it a Divine Realm?
Eritheyl2012-01-28 01:03:37
Fain's, yes.
I think.

Fain's, yes. And I laugh every time I read the name. BLOOD FIST. hahahahaha it's just so goofy
Ssaliss2012-01-28 01:23:32
I find it interesting that Hallifaxian's know more about it than all the Mags I asked :D

When you need to know something and you need to know now, you ask a bookworm. I mean duh.
Though you'll probably need to sign some forms in triplicate now.

Are there/have there been eclipses in Lusternia? I can't recall any.
Riluna2012-01-28 02:00:09
I don't know, but I like the idea. It could lead to an interesting Sun/Moon/Night dynamic.

The Nihilist's champion, the Fist of Luciphage? As far as I know, unless it's changed over time, the proper way to refer to him is Lord Fist.

Not to my knowledge. In terms of astrophysics, it's not actually possible in Lusternia, but I'm sure no one will let that stop them from including it in an event. The astrophysics of Lusternia's already pretty irredeemably broken without invoking "it's magic!" so they've got free license.

Heh, you are so bitter about that seasons discussion a while back, aren't you.
But I'll admit I'm fairly ignorant of the finer details of Lusternian astrophysics and what have you, so why would it be impossible?
Riluna2012-01-28 03:26:43
I've always been under the impression that Sun and Moon (edit: and Night, for that matter) are literally spirits in the sky, not celestial bodies. So they can't physically occlude each other. But I'm thinking it might be neat if they could, magically. It might make an interesting conflict if we ever see Ackleberry.

Yeah, it just eats away at me. It's positively an obsession. Now, remind me, what are you talking about? This isn't even ringing any bells.

Except we totally do have planets and a solar system, apparently. Stuff is weird. The sun and moon are at once bodies in the sky, as well as spirits!

The thinly veiled bitterness in your previous post just gave me a bit of déjà vu, but I suppose it doesn't matter at this point, so never mind. Now are you going to elaborate on your former statement of Lusternian astrophysics making eclipses impossible or just leave it as "Lusternia screwed up with astronomical consistency so they could happen outside of the mythos without following any form of logic anyway?"
Riluna:

Then that brings up the question... how can their spirits be Fae but their physical aspects supposedly inanimate masses (assuming the sun and moon in Lusternia aren't living beings)?
Eritheyl2012-01-28 04:39:18
I think that has something to do with the mysterious workings of the Sixth Circlers.
There are a lot of other inanimate-stuff Great Spirits too, like Rock and Lake and whatnot. Someone should have a more legitimate explanation than mine, though.

I think that the general idea is that the Sun and Moon are manifestations of the spirit possessed by the celestial objects. Animism and whatnot.

Are racial weaknesses/resists 5% of 7% per level? Nobody I ask can seem to agree.
