That chart is awesome! Thank you :)
Hm... so no one knows where's the best place to go bashing if you've got good magic/elemental resistances?

Maybe I'm misreading some of the previous posts, but that chart provides information about the best/worst damage types to use against mobs, not the types of damage that they themselves deal. The fact that you can't tell what sort of damage they're dealing is irrelevant to the chart, since mob weaknesses/resistances are shown on probe.

I think the Oservatory lucidians do mostly cold damage, but it's been years since I hunted them (like, before Hallifax came out). Twisted lucidians do asphix it seems. Dracnari do fire. Yeah, I'm not much help.
I'm sure I've seen this somewhere, but searching pasts threads comes up with nothing. Probably cause I fail at searching. So...anyone have a list of the inherents for chimaeras, hippogriffs and snow phoenix? And Lord Eventru's serpents too. Must complete my list of beast inherents.

If only I still had my Wayfaire beasts I could tell you =/
How does the bard spec damage attack (BlahChord) compare to minor second and to guardian attacks (assume baseline, no resistances or buffs)?

Hippogriffs have mount, fly, gust.
Snow phoenix has fly and breathe cold.

Shou:

Spec cords has equal base damage to M2nd; the only considerations are damage types. Bard attacks have somewhat lower base damage than guardian attacks, but are faster and empowerable through your Org Song.

Does anyone reply if you email to sales@lusternia.com? It's a sales related issue particularly, which I think I know the root of, but I'm not sure if that is just for auto-responses and if I should email to a different address. The website also has no obvious Contact Us page, which makes figuring this out frustrating.

What specific weapon types fall under each Knighthood specialization?

You have one handed weapons, which can be held in each hand:
hammers/flails/morningstars/maces -> Bonecrusher. (speed/damage/precision/balanced based respectively)
rapiers/broadswords/scimitars/longswords -> Blademaster. (same as above)
You also have the two handed weapons, which you can have one of, held in both hands.
katanas/claymores/greatswords/bastard swords -> Pureblade
klangaxe/waraxe/greataxe/battleaxe -> Axelord.
Generally people go for the speed weapons since you get the most out of them in both combat and hunting.

Is it artifact related? I emailed artifacts@lusternia.com about my pet questions. Took a few days but I did get a reply.

Does Lusternia have a guide to influencing? The idea is foreign to me, as I've only ever bashed in muds.
Qistrel2012-02-11 19:59:13
I'm sure there was a thread somewhere about it. I'd write a quick guide for you myself but I'm half asleep.
Are the eyballs and tentacles meant to be from Kethru who is breaking free because the seals are weakened? Or is it Zenos?

Basically, there are five types of influences (charity, seduction, weaken, paranoia and empower). Each type has three "attacks" that you will get as you put more lessons into the influence skillset. To influence a mob, you need to use attacks of the type you want to influence with. Once you begin influencing with one type, you cannot influence with another unless the ego battle ends somehow. Once you've started with one type, you just wait until your equilibrium comes back and attack with the same type. It is better to use different attacks of the same type if you have them, because they will become more and more resistant to each individual attack, so two influences with begging isn't as good as one influence with begging plus one influence with supplication (the second charity attack). This is why you'd be told you might need to learn more of the influence skillset before you try to take on harder mobs.
There's also a thing called dispositions that all mobs have. Each disposition makes the mob weak to one type of influence and completely immune to another. For example, the greedy disposition means you cannot use charity influence on them, but it should be easier to weaken them as opposed to using paranoia, seduction or empower. The easiest way to find out what dispositions a mob has is to learn the analyze skill in influence, although you can just use trial and error. I wouldn't suggest you take influencing too seriously until you learn more influence anyway, though.

They're from Kethuru. Right now they're just going after the seal bearers, but during the Ascension Challenge itself, which is likely when Kethuru is on the verge of breaking free completely, heaps of them will spawn on Astral.

It's pretty simple. What you want to do is stack as many bonuses to your type of influencing as possible.
Bonuses:
1) Appropriate Scent
2) Appropriate Influence Rune
3) Appropriate Tattoo(s)
3) Appropriate Beast Skill
4) Active Charismatic Aura
5) Appropriate Active Performance (Sycophant, Vagabond, ect.)
6) If appropriate, influencing inside your meld.
7) Raise your charisma as high as possible (Netzach, Seal of Beauty blessing, Throne bonus, Bardic Presence, if approprate)
Strategy:
-Have an autosipper for your ego.
-Have Beauty enchantment up.
-Alternate between all of the influencing attacks appropriate to the influencing you are doing.
-You will hav an easier time if you influence the mob in question with the type that it is weak to, based on it's disposition.
-Panic and run away if there is a lot of lag.
Good things to inflence:
If you are Lv 50-60+ (depending on your charisma) and have a decent Influence skill you can empower your nexus guards and/or cosmic beings or eqivalent or Tosha monks.

Bolded for Argh stop telling people this! (Not you in particular, everyone.) Nexus guards are subpar esteem, and subpar experience. In many cases, they are not even predisposed to empowerment (and they are only susceptible to that and weakening). Guard influencing is for when you're being absolutely lazy and a stack of anything is slightly more productive than sitting around idling. There are so many areas in the game full of great mobs for influencing. Wydyr, the Dell, the Chancel, Shallach, Shallamurine, Meliashmora, Mesa, Nomad Encampment, Scorpion Caverns, Kryden Valik, Hyfae, Observatory, Crumkindivia, Bottledowns, Frosticia, Facility, Night, Moon, Kelpies, Cay, Kephera, Illithoid, godrealms, etc. So many areas that are under-used because people get told that guard influencing is where it's at. It isn't!
