If not, send it in to an ask Estarra!

My songs were mostly Irish traditional tunes. The melodies are public domain and the lyrics are completely original to Lusternia, so I never saw a problem with doing it.

Related question: are comics considered an appropriate medium for artisinals?
Rika2012-02-21 23:52:19
Yes, basically anything that is visual qualifies for artisanal. I think Veonira submitted a comic and someone else (Daganev?) made a short animation.

I know I enjoy reading MUD comics, people should make more!

How is griffin/griffon/gryphon spelt in Lusternia?
Ssaliss2012-02-22 09:29:14
Looked through my logs, and couldn't find any mention of "griphon", "gryphon", "griffin" or "griffon".
Iosai2012-02-22 09:47:40
I believe the accepted word is 'gryphon'.

Shou:
Can you make an instrument customized to be permanent or does that have to be through runes?
The others are incorrect in this, I customized my staff and had it made permenant and resetting without runes.

Really? I emailed about it and got told I had to rune it first.
Morshoth2012-02-22 19:14:21
You don't HAVE to rune it, but they suggest you do, because if not, you are paying for the 50/100 credits to make it perm/perm+reset anyway, and runes cost just a bit more than that.
Aldani2012-02-23 02:49:54
Can't you just add a great rune of enchantment, at least on a staff, which gets you permanent and resetting for only 50 credits?
Unknown2012-02-23 03:03:54
Not on a weapon, no. You'd need gripping or shielding.
Aldani2012-02-23 03:58:33
Interesting! I thought you'd be able to, since it's an enchantable item.
Xiel2012-02-23 04:26:28
There's an enchantment rune that goes on caster weapons, yeah, but that's 250cr rather than 50cr if I'm remembering right.
Ssaliss2012-02-23 04:36:06
Yep, if you're referring to this one:
Are staffs normally enchantable though? Judging by the description of the rune, they're not...
Great Rune of Superior Enchantment
o This rune will allow the object to be enchantable for up to 75
charges.
o NOTE: If this rune is placed on a staff and charged with an enchantment
you need to POINT, remember you need to POINT STAFF ATto
use the enchantment and POINT STAFFto use the normal staff
attack.
o 250 credits.

That's probably my confusion, then! For some reason I thought they were enchantable without the rune.

In HELP PETS it says that you can make sentient pets 'say', but could someone please clarify whether pet says and give actions respect the brackets and special ways of saying (eg - whisper, state)? For example, I can...
state (In an impatient tone) I've had enough. which will display In an impatient tone, Svorai states, "I've had enough."
give cupcake32167 to Vadi (After taking a bite herself) which will display After taking a bite herself, Svorai gives a crow cupcake to Vadi.
Can you make pets do the same sort of thing, or are they limited to vanilla says and give actions?
Thanks!

I'm not sure, and don't have the time to jump on and check before class, but I once broke my pet and caused an untrapped error by trying to get her to emote at herself. So I don't hold high hopes. >_>

Can the words 'excoroperditio' and 'excorable' be used interchangeably? (Like 'Serynwodenhillirim' and 'Serenwilde' are.)
