My understanding is that excorable energy/damage comes from excoroperditio 'essence', in the same way that divinus energy comes from the Immanidivinus. One is the source (immanidivinus/excoroperditio) and the other is the product (divinus/excorable). So the two terms have slightly different meanings, but in most cases can probably be used interchangeably with no confusion. Because who wants to type out excoroperditio?

People will know what you are talking about, but they totally aren't the exact same thing. Then again, it raises my semantic hackles when admins call everything in the game 'spells'.

I think. I recall a command for it, but can't remember what it is/was.

In HELP PETS it says that you can make sentient pets 'say', but could someone please clarify whether pet says and give actions respect the brackets and special ways of saying (eg - whisper, state)? For example, I can...
state (In an impatient tone) I've had enough. which will display In an impatient tone, Svorai states, "I've had enough."
give cupcake32167 to Vadi (After taking a bite herself) which will display After taking a bite herself, Svorai gives a crow cupcake to Vadi.
Can you make pets do the same sort of thing, or are they limited to vanilla says and give actions?
Thanks!
Can anyone with a pet clarify this? Thank yooooou.

Mr. Tentacles to the rerscue!
order tentacles say (Writhing incessantly) Blarghsplortglagh
Writhing incessantly, a nightmarish mass of writhing tentacles says, "Blarghsplortglagh."
give curio to tentacles (Reluctantly)
Reluctantly, you give a glass kitten right emerald eye curio to a nightmarish mass of writhing tentacles.
order tentacles give curio to razenth (Reluctantly)
Your order is obeyed.
A nightmarish mass of writhing tentacles gives a glass kitten right emerald eye curio to you.
order tentacles grunt (Writhing incessantly) Blarghsplortglagh
A nightmarish mass of writhing tentacles grunts noncommitally.
order tentacles state (Writhing incessantly) Blarghsplortglagh
That is not a valid emote command.
order tentacles whisper (Writhing incessantly) Blarghsplortglagh
That is not a valid emote command.

order tentacles say (Writhing incessantly) Blarghsplortglagh!!
Writhing incessantly, a nightmarish mass of writhing tentacles exclaims, "Blarghsplortglagh!!"
Interestingly, it doesn't eat the second exclamation mark like it would with a character.

Though that's a little disappointing... I didn't want my pet-who-is-not-yet-purchased to be restricted to just 'say'.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Any Druids/Aeros/Geos/Pyros willing to pm me their dampen messages?

Judging by the chatter, Stratagem is basically kata-chaining for everyone, yes? Are there any limitations on what can be added to the chain? Does it have to take balance? Does the stratagem auto-forward like kata-chains do? Does it do that even if what you entered doesn't take balance?

Edit: In my excitement, I may have completely missed what you were asking, Ssaliss :( You're already across it. Meh. Here I am, trying to be technical, and I've failed.
From what excited-Vadi has told me, and my non-technical mind has understood - you can use stratagems to make the server do a string of things to do in one hit, rather than sending them one by one on our side.
For example, I can make my crow swoop alias more deadly by sending it a stratagem sequence that does contemplate, climb up, crow perch, then finally swoop all at once. That doesn't mean that all the actions are done at once! Just that the server will handle the commands as one big chunk.
So... say my current alias does contemplate + climb up + perch (wait for balance) then swoop, instead of waiting for my client to receive the line "you have regained equilibrium" and THEN sending swoop, the server goes okay she has equilibrium, now send swoop. So it bypasses my terrible Australia ping.
The difference may not be very noticeable to some or in all instances, but in some situations, particularly when it's laggy, I think it will be awesome!
As for how they work (how you put them together)... yeah, did I mention I'm non-technical?

Designing question about Aetherships. Are there any classifications that are acceptable in Lusternian terms for their size? For example, a mother ship sized aethership, if I call it an M-Class aethership when making a tapestry, should I clarify in the beginning then call it M-Class later on? Or smaller ships, call them C-Class for common ships?

Uh, well I won scholarly prestige (which is some degree of validation) using terms like warship (full modules), battleship (2k+ hull, full, arties) flagship (3-4k+ hull, full, org-owned), bombardier (just 1 turret, or otherwise in progress).
I call ships that are only for flashpoints travel ships. The common name I've heard for just 1 room ships is something along the lines of 'escape hatch'.
That's the best I can offer, there are no official designations from the game proper, ships being so individually customizable.
Neos2012-02-26 21:34:29
I've heard pods used for 1 room ships.
